Re: FUTURE OF LOGAN BASKETBALL
Logan will benefit from the dissolution of the SEOAL in the long run. It's too hard to get a massive number of attractive applicants for sports such as basketball when you're making trips to Portsmouth, Gallipollis, Washington County, etc Inevitably, I think the MSL is going to take Logan sometime.

Re: #1 Shadyside (11-0) vs #2 Trimble (12-0)
Mr. Cox ripped me a new one back in 2008 or 2009 - and I haven't left off the YORK since! Instead of jabbering away at nonsense - does anyone have any idea how many starters Shadyside has back? Especially across the front? Let's hope you don't have to ever call a tournament game with Ripley-Union-L...

Re: #1 Shadyside (11-0) vs #2 Trimble (12-0)
I think Trimble will be the visiting team, so I'm all set to stand somewhere and watch on Saturday night... might even take a few folding chairs and hang out behind one of the end zones. It's fun visiting different stadiums, and while many whined about New Lex last week, that place was awesome, and...

Re: #4 Athens (12-0) vs #7 DeSales (10-2)
The best QB's in the land are drop back passer guys. Sure, in the NFL and at some college teams running a pro-style offense, but the dual threat is the predominantly recruited type. Burrow can run in a jam, but he's not any kind of speed guy. TV showed they could contain him to a degree with pressu...

Re: Wheelersburg vs Bishop Hartley week #13 Region 17 Final
The Pirates absolutely have a chance to win this game. It would be an upset but upsets happen all the time. I don't see Hartley taking the Pirates lightly because they are a good team and Hartley takes no team lightly. Hartley has lost 6 games over the past 4 seasons. Here's the list: 2011 - Kenton...

Re: wellston rocket football program
These kids work hard and if there's a better opportunity you can't blame them for jumping on it. But on the other hand, we give parents and certain schools a ton of s#&& when kids transfer into them for better opportunities, academically and athletically. So why not make a categorical imper...

Re: #4 Athens (12-0) vs #7 DeSales (10-2)
DeSales only lost 17-21 to Westerville Central, who is still playing this weekend. I think Westerville Central is more athletic, explosive, and deeper than Athens. If DeSales gets a few stops early and gets up a score, I can't see them losing it.

Hartley that would beat anyone in DII Region 9 including Athens. Let's be real here. Region 9 is the weakest region of the four. Period Hartley beat Marion Franklin by 1 on the last play. Steubenville beat Marion Franklin by 7. Athens is 30 pts better than Steubenville Syllogisms don't apply in hig...

Re: Wheelersburg vs Bishop Hartley week #13 Region 17 Final
What is keeping a kid from transferring to a different school around our area? Last I checked, nothing. It's all about "pride", which gets in the way majority of the time. I know for a fact that Burg gains kids from outside Wheelersburg to play sports, if you say they don't then pull the ...

I am very surprised Bloom-Carroll did not get this, unless they of course did not put in for it.
And can we all agree it's time for Lancaster to get turf? ;)

I'm pretty sure there are a lot of high school football fans whose team didn't make it to week 12 that'd love to switch places with ya.OSU 77 wrote:I would not pay 9 dollars to watch a playoff game and have to stand. What was the state thinking!

Re: What changes would you like you team to make?
I'd like to see LFC get a schedule that puts them in a position to win games. I'd like to see our line get stronger, faster, and better, and I'd love to see us go to a 4-4 or a 4-3-2-2 defense.

Re: What's next for the SEOAL?
Logan has great tradition, always puts a quality team on the field, has a beautiful stadium, travels well...who wouldn't want a school like that in their conference . So, to preface, the OCC is re-aligning. Lancaster's part removed the two teams Logan could've competed with: Groveport and Newark. T...

Re: Best teams in the TVC Hocking (Boys)?
Its sad for Miller they got a good team. As of now I heard Coach Bartley the football coach and AD is the basketball coach. I thought Coach Bremer did a great job while coaching there. I heard through the Perry County grape vine that he left beacuse of the administration. I hear he still is a teach...

Re: World War I 100th anniversary
The Balkans are still a soup of anger and resentment today. Yeah, that'll never change. As if the people living there didn't have enough reason to hate those different from them in the beginning, the reign of Tito as well as the atrocities in the wake of Yugoslavia's dissolution has made things eve...

Re: Best teams in the TVC Hocking (Boys)?
I thought Miller had a coach in place what happened? Its tuff to start the season with out a coach. Not that I'm going to pretend to know what is going on with Miller, but they could be in worse positions at the moment or down the road. I know with my team a few years ago our brilliant administrati...

PLEASE, Jackson, prove my vote to be wrong. Kickbutt against the recruits & show them what true school loyalty is all about. Hoping for a SE Ohio regional championship. I really want to be wrong! Go iron!!! Implying that DeSales doesn't have "true school loyalty"? On what grounds? I d...

I think Marshall's year will play out similar to the way it played out for the '04 Boise State team or even that Tulane team that Shaun King was the quarterback of.

Re: State Tournament Locals!
Chieftain, what should we expect from FCA's golf team next year? I know the past couple years they haven't been bad, but I remember they went to the state tournament not long ago. They had some golfers this year who also joined the football team in the second half, and they have some good athletes. ...
