Re: Jackson @ Logan

Logan grad, you are completely correct. Thanks for your posts. And, as usual, moonshine is, uh, way off base, to say it kindly. Of course, we all know moonshine is the great pumpkin when it comes to everything: he can see all and do all, but does he actually exist? Has anyone ever actually seen him?...

Re: Logan Lady Chiefs Basketball 2011-2012

Absolutely correct, Keyser. Excellent post. Logan probably played one of its best games Saturday night -- I was there and saw it first-hand -- and Chillicothe is indeed much improved from last season. The future looks pretty good for the Lady Cavs. They play a LOT of young kids, and they were missin...

Re: Logan Baseball

Waterboy: as both a former youth baseball coach and someone who closely follows the Logan baseball program, I commend you on an OUTSTANDING post. You hit the nail on the head. The local paper would certainly support youth traveling teams by running game results, tryout notices, etc., that I can assu...

LOL Fair enough. I don't like what you said, you don't like what I said. When you return, Gen. MacArthur, I'm not hard to find! Remember Harry Truman? LOL

Re: Logan Baseball

Thank you, 1987Chieftains! Exactly my point! No one disagrees that additional teaching of fundamentals needs to be done when the kids are young. When the kids don't get taught proper fundamentals until they are freshmen in high school, that lowers the window of opportunity. But raising the question ...

Re: Logan Baseball

1: "Should the Board of Ed. disband the baseball program or find a long term Head Coach and let him develop a program. Please comment!" Number 1: The fact you would even ask this question is a slap in the face of the kids and coaches who are working hard to try to improve. You, being on th...

Re: Logan Baseball

I don't like to get into you-know-what matches on here, but I happened to see this and, yes, I will reply. What makes you such an expert? No, the team isn't winning games. There's not a lot of experience and they're already having a tough enough of a time as it is. Why pile on them with such a snide...

Re: Chesapeake vs. Portsmouth - Regional Final - 3-19

I saw Portsmouth twice against Logan and was very, very impressed not only with their athleticism but with how well they played together. With their athleticism, I thought they had a chance to make a LOT of tournament noise as long as they continued to play well together. Now, Trojans, go out and ge...

Re: SEOAL JV Records

If someone can get me the final scores to Warren at Gallipolis (Saturday night) and Gallipolis at Portsmouth (Feb. 5) I can pass along the final standings. Those are the only two SEOAL games I am missing.

Re: Portsmouth vs Waverly at the Wellston tourny

I know it's not on the subject, but does anyone have a score on the Warren-Harvest Prep game that was played afterwards?

Also, the roster I have for Portsmouth does not include Bendolph. What uniform number does he wear?

Thanks!
