Re: Week 4--Marietta at Gallipolis
Being raised originally in williamstown. I still have a lot of friends in williamstown and Marietta area. Marietta has another new head coach and are running the vear this year. my understanding first two games defenses did not play assignment defense well and Marietta won. Williamstown did and came...

Re: Week 4--Marietta at Gallipolis
This game will be all about defensive execution. Marietta runs a offense that calls for assignment defense. Not a lot of trick plays. It will be about execution. Offensively i have no idea what we are doing but a step in right direction would be for play calling to make sense. Show me that you are r...

Re: Gallia Acad 0-2 @ Washington CH 0-2
I really don't know where this team goes from here. defensively they cant stop anyone. They have to find a way to make teams one dimensional. On offense something has to change in the play calling. The slants and things thrown in 3rd and 4th quarter had been there all night. We have to stretch the d...

Re: Week 2: Gallia Academy @ River Valley
Absolutely not true BEVO there are a few kids in almost every sport every year that has someone sponsor them so they can play a sport. Only thing that has to be done is someone has to swallow there pride and let it be known they have a need. I have scene this from both ends. Had 3 children playing s...

Re: Week 2: Gallia Academy @ River Valley
I am not positive but i think . THey said the trophy gallia Academy and meigs may be signed for 12 years. I only say that because after meigs game when meigs was presented a trophy they said the trophy would go to winning school for next 12 years. I know river valley signed for at least 2 more years...

Re: Week 2: Gallia Academy @ River Valley
No offense bevo but i am not talking about late hits. One was a basically a throat punch from gallia Acadmey player almost 30 yards away from the action. And the other one was a river valley player stepping on a gallia acadmey player after a play. Both times a official jumped in but no flag thrown. ...

Re: Week 2: Gallia Academy @ River Valley
Congratulations river valley. very solid win... Better football team by far.... But need to clean several things up before you play the good teams on your schedule. if This series is going to continue for a while the officials on the field need to keep control of the game much better then this group...

Re: wk1 Gallia Acadamy at Meigs
Bevo I guess the way i would put it. Is i choose to look at the positives in the players we have on the team now and what i think they can do as a team instead of worrying or complaining about what this team lacks. I can do this without having wild expectations or distorting what these kids talents ...

Re: wk1 Gallia Acadamy at Meigs
I think they are much better then their back-ups. Do any of them have great breakaway speed no... i in no way ever stated they did. Did not even say that these kids could start at any other school.... Did not say this team has talent of any above .500 team that Gallia has had in a long time. If you ...

Re: Gallia Academy 2015
As far as this year goes it is going to be what it is going to be, i think we will have a team that improves every week and if it stays halfway healthy then maybe we can play the majority of freshmen and j.v. games we have scheduled. This will do a lot toward putting program in right direction. With...

Re: Week 2: Gallia Academy @ River Valley
Well from what i saw from week 1 river valley has a huge edge in special teams. Kicking game and return game both looks very good. Otherwise think this will be a pretty good match up. It was hard to tell what river valley really has against a bad Rock Hill team. Did notice a lot of cut back runs so ...

Re: wk1 Gallia Acadamy at Meigs
Sure the 5 if used properly would be Hively henry burns Bailey Russell and Ward None of these kids on there own. Can be used to dominate another team but if we gave ward 10 carries a game and gave the ball to henry and bailey 10 carries between them. Carter would be much more effective then we did r...

Re: Week 2: Alexander @ Chesapeake
Would think this would be a good measuring stick for these two teams and probably a must win for either of these teams if they hope to make a playoff run.

Re: wk1 Gallia Acadamy at Meigs
Don't disagree with anything in your last post. Carter is a better drop back QB then sprint out QB. The freshmen just the opposite. I think we have at least 5 skill players if used right could make us dynamic

Re: wk1 Gallia Acadamy at Meigs
As far as freshmen QB goes i don't see him as much of a runner so moving Carter to running back would not give you another threat. As far as playing kid goes if he is ready to play at that level no problem with it. But if kid not ready to play he could get himself or his teammates hurt.

Re: wk1 Gallia Acadamy at Meigs
I don't disagree with the grades these kids are in. There are a bunch of seniors out there. But i think only 8 of the 14 seniors on this football team are kids that have played football in this program for four years. I do believe 2 of those seniors are first year football players 2. Also because of...

Re: wk1 Gallia Acadamy at Meigs
Doesn't matter what offense they run if they can cut down on penalties. 10 penalties for almost 120 yards killed offense and defense. Offense was opened up a little more this week but your right no way we can have QB run ball on about 55% of snaps. Not sure they have a running back to hand the ball ...
