if the mound is being moved back this year.....there will be more hitting and fielding than previously before...........imo, may not see as much dominant pitching.

Re: Portsmouth Trojans Football 2011
Minford,Burg,Valley have there own Pee Wee and West,Oak Hill,Ironton travel its hard to say which one is better. If you are winning kids play. But when you get to be older and biggger, stronger , faster it is which kids will sacrifice the time to become better. Portsmouth has a great coaching staff...

The current senior class had 35 kids in 8th grade football......the current junior class had 26 kids in 7th grade football......61 kids......you add those two grades up now.....27 players.......over 50% drop out rate......I don't believe the pee wee level is the problem....something is happening onc...

I have witnessed both teams..........BOTH are good teams......my opinion, whoever wants it more and makes the least mistakes will determine the outcome of the game......both better be strapped up and ready to go, or it could be a long night for which one doesn't.

TFBA; I respect your opinion on a lot of your post and agree with most. I'm not blaming the coach's for everything with this team. I know the old saying coach's don't make tackles, score TD's, so on and so forth. But, over the course of this year I have seen the following from the sideline. 1. Not ...

Re: Paladin's Pigskin Picks -- Wk 8
Dave, would the season be complete without a Trojan-Tiger matchup.....I think not. Same as the Tomcats from across the river, two rivalries that have been around since the birth of peanut butter and they will continue. Other teams that have been around and could be considered for a spot on the Tige...

Good luck to both teams and injury free......would love to be able to watch this game......but a drive up the river to Gallia prevents it.

Meyers is missed on BOTH sides of the ball.......the true key to this game is like most.......WIN the battle up front......we haven't done that on offense or defense very much this year......we are undersized on defense and are struggling.......WHY are we still playing a 4-4 after all these years?? ...

Re: Week 5 - Portsmouth(2-2) vs. Chillicothe(0-4)
This outcome is a surprise. Hats off to Chillicothe on a great win. But, what is up with Portsmouth? I am all about the coaches running an offense that best fits your players but, Portsmouth needs to get back to the power running smashmouth football they used to run about 10 years ago. I know they ...
