There is market research out there that supports introducing athletics to schools like Hocking has actually helped the college to prosper. Football doesn't seem to fit as an introductory sport because of its high cost. I will be a curious observer.

I love the state tournament. I'll go no matter what. The declining attendance made it easier and much cheaper to get great seats.

I am a public school guy, but I gotta agree. The slimy underbelly of some AAU organizations use their influence to get kids to go to certain schools - blatant recruiting.

Congrats - it truly was a great final four from a fan's standpoint.

I think basketball fans care. The amount of fans shouldn't matter. Maybe there are some real world socio-economic factors that limit fan base for them. These are still kids working together to accomplish something bigger than themselves. Working towards their goals and dreams. Learning life lessons.
