From the Tiger's website: 34 goals on offense, 2 goals given up by the defense in SOC league play. D doesn't sound too weak from the stats.

If you would do the math the ratio of shots to goals is about the same. Burg just needs to find some way to get more shots.

I think too many are selling the Burg short. Waverly's weakness is their defense (mainly because they haven't been tested). If Wheelersburg can get their attack organized I'd put them on top. Jarvis is the best player in the SOC and I don't think the Tigers will have an answer for him. Goals or ass...

Waverly has beefed up their schedule this year. Playing Jackson, Chillicothe,Unioto and Circleville should help them on both sides of the ball. But playing at Burg is always an experience. Coach Boll has the rabbit in the hat.

Sounds like this game is over and Waverly can save some gas money by not showing up. Our school finances aren't in the best of shape, but I guess we can afford a bus trip. So we will show up, play the game and talk about it on SEOP after the game.

I too, know the Carroll kid and what a class act he is. The technical was described as slamming the ball. He was called for the personal foul took one step and took a hard two handed dribble. It was nothing more than frustration. He did not wind up and slam the ball.

Kind of looks like the SOC II might play some pretty good basketball.
