Re: Best Players in Southeast Ohio?
Lineman never get the credit they deserve but Jacob Coon from Nelsonville has an awesome job this season, and Dakota hook and Bobby Leitwein are good linebackers they may be small but theyre strong and fast. Agree. People primarily list their team's QB or RB. Those guys, unless athletic freaks of n...

Re: Talking TVC-Ohio and Hock Football on the Sports Fan TOD
Just make the show about Nelsonville-York..that sums up the TVC right now...Hands down Its statements like that is why people hate NY, and would love to see us fail.Yes Nelsonville is good but what about the other teams. Alexander and Athens are both undefeated to. Alexander has played a pretty eas...

Re: Week 7: Nelsonville-York (6-0, 1-0) @ Meigs (4-2, 0-1)
N-Y will go 10-0 (yes, they'll beat Athens by 2 td's, have seen them both play more than once this year), will win their first round playoff game and then travel somewhere mid-state to play Ridgewood or "Bucky Rus" (Bucyrus Wynford) in a second round game and the season will end there. Yo...

Re: Brady Hoke to be named as head coach at Michigan
In 2012, Michigan should beat OSU for DE/DT Chris Wormley and OT Jordan Diamond. Those are absolute must-gets for Michigan, and should be an expectation for the 2012 class.

Re: Brady Hoke to be named as head coach at Michigan
Not that is changes his abilities as a player either way, but this is what Allen Trieu said about Chris Bryant to my direct question about receiving an OSU offer: "Late interest in Bryant, widely reported that he was offered. He told me it was a we-want-you-here type verbal offer. He was not wi...

Yeah that maybe ,,,but they (the worthless nuts ) will not be # 1 @ the end of March. Bank on it. sooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo,,,,,,,,,OVER-RATED~!!!!!!!!!!! So you're saying one of hundreds of teams will not be the national champion? Wow. Way to go out on a limb. They may or may not be the...

Re: Brady Hoke to be named as head coach at Michigan
I think you will change your tune if that QB turns out to be Brees caliber. I think have a qb v not having a qb is a win. I think it is silly to even make a remark about the highlight of his era, considering he has been recruiting for all of a week and three days now. I agree with Orestes, but I do...

Re: Brady Hoke to be named as head coach at Michigan
The key for Hoke won't be his ability to get bodies on the Michigan roster. The key will be his ability to beat OSU in Ohio, not for the guys without OSU offers, but for the Braxton Miller, Steve Miller, Doran Grant, etc.. Obviously, he is scrambling now, so not much can be said about his performance.

Re: The Difference between the SEC and everyone else...
Orestes just curious why you are anti playoff? I fear it would grow to the point of ruining the regular season. Obviously, a four-team, six-team, or eight-team playoff would not substantially impact the importance of the regular season. However, the NCAA College Basketball Tournament also started s...

Auburn played at WVU in 2008. I'm not sure where or if WVU was ranked at the time. LSU comes to WVU next year. Actually, I believe Morgantown is south of the mason dixon line. LOL I need a new example. Although I wouldn't consider WV a southern state I guess it is actually south of the Mason...

Re: Brady Hoke to be named as head coach at Michigan
It isn't just that Tressel won a NC at YSU. He won four and made it to six. So, in fifteen years at YSU, he coached in six national championships. Now, in 25 years as a head coach, he has coached in nine national championship games. Thus, in thirty-six percent of his seasons, his teams have made the...

Re: Auburn 2011 Nat Champ SEC 5 in a row !
Let them investigate every college footbll player, and 90% of them would be ruled ineligible For things similar to what the Tat 5 did? Maybe 50% tops. For things like Cam Newton? 1-5% tops. We're talking a pay-to-play scandal during the recruiting process. This money issue went to the heart of the ...

It would be nicer to see Oregon or Auburn's cute offenses playing in a playoff in Madison or Columbus in late December/ early January.
Alabama would be just fine up north, because they are tough and physical. They grind it out.

Re: national title game who wins.
I am not that impressed with Cam Newton. Call me a homer, but I would take T Pryor over him. He has missed wide open receivers and is not making the highlight plays we were all expecting. But it is still in the first half too! After watching Cam and Auburn now: Does anyone out there really think th...

And this is why I hate it when these schools brag about their desire to play "anyone, anywhere, anytime"! It's a marketing farse that they use to garner perceived respect, but never intend to follow through to their perceived extent. In other words, it's BULL! Isn't that kinda like what t...
