Score was 8-4 and Ironton is 5-1 with lone loss to Portsmouth. That was a double header that the two teams split.

Re: Ironton 69 Peebles 68 in 2OT
While it's great to see students supporting their team, when it becomes rude and disrespectful, someone needs to take charge. I had no problem with either student section for most of the game; they added a lot of noise and energy to the game. And Ironton's is actually pretty entertaining. But at th...

Coach has told me before that he became a coach because he felt his coaches growing up assisted his parents in raising him and shaping his life and he wanted to be a part of that. That's the kind of coach we have; the wins are a bonus!

Re: St. Joe High School
O.K. let me re-state my question. Where does Ironton St. Joe play their home games at? With all the new schools up there for Ironton City, i'm not sure. They play at the current Ironton High School location on Delaware Street; the same place they have alwyas played their games. If you find Delaware...

If it's not made up then it's not that big of a deal, because we all know the SOC and OVC are gonna force an Ironton-Portsmouth matchup in the sectionals anyway.

Re: Ironton at Portsmouth 2/09
Just wondering why games are called off so often, being from up north it is surprising at the number of cancelled game ever week down south, could be up north we are a little more used to the bad weather? Our roads and hills are more hazardous than your flat interstates up north. If you don't believe...

Re: Ironton 7th Grade
Ironton only has 15 kids on the 7th grade team and with all the sickness and injuries they had to cancel. They had to play 7th graders in the 8th grade game to have enough for that team. Who knows if they will be able to play any other games, but if they have enough I would bet they will try. GO TIG...

I hope it's true and that is a really good thing. Those boys were first class and it all started with their coach. Visiting Jo Lin Nursing Home in their "free time" was part of their trip agenda.
