From what i've heard Newcomerstown didn't lose much from last years team. But Caldwell played a completely different style of football last year when these two played as well. With Caldwell playing at home, i'll take them by 2 scores. Running game wears the Trojans down.

I'd have to agree with Eastern on this one. For as small as the league is I think it does just fine. You've always got someone right up there at the top (usually MC), and then they'll have one other, or possibly two other teams battling for a playoff spot. Went and watched Caldwell scrimmage with Morgan the other day. Went about as expected, don't think Morgan will be very good this year. Caldwell's offense seemed to look about the same as last years, with a few wrinkles added in. Defense played pretty well too, hit hard and gang tackled well.

I'm more of a basketball and cross country guy but I enjoy football and go to the Redskin games as often as I can. I figure the QB job will be a battle between Carpenter and Clark. Carpenter gives you some experience and is a good athlete, Clark gives you athleticism as well, and the chance to build for the future, being only a sophomore.

Hoping Caldwell will be better off this year than they were last. A lot of underclass men got a good amount of playing time, so hopefully they'll get off to a better start. Looks like Harrison Central and Wheeling Central are gone from the schedule, being replaced by Bridgeport and West Muskingum.

I'm a Caldwell fan and all, but no on Figel over Legrean.

Should be a good one. FF has been playing really well as of late. I like them to extend their winning streak to 9, although I'm not sure if they'll extend the double digit margin in this one.

Sucks to hear that as a Caldwell fan. Friend said the turning point was when weichman and Clark got in foul trouble. Said they had to sit both at the same time for about 3 minute span and Central went on a big run with points off turnovers. Lack of depth is really hurting this team.

Believe that would be Weichman that Eastern is talking about. Anyone at the game, please post some scores.

How many turnovers did central have last meeting? I think caldwells was in the upper teens.

Yeah I was there at the first meeting, just wasn't sure who the primary defender was. They through a lot of different looks at him and double teamed a good bit.
