Re: TVC Ohio 2011
NY will takes its lumps in its non conference schedule, going 2-3 or 3-2, then cruise along until the Athens game week 10 which is always a classic game.

Re: Does any school have a chance
And if only one WCAC school gets in, and one from Ashland or Bucyrus, we have not even talked about Coal Grove or Portsmouth West. Both of them could make noise, and even Oak Hill could be better than people are thinking.

Re: Does any school have a chance
You have 2 WCAC schools, you have Wynfield, Columbus Acadamy, thats 4 north of I70, not counting Fredericktown and West Lafayette Ridgewood, who have been constants the past couple years. There is 6. If Wheelersburg is good like always, and Liberty Union is good, there is 8, and no mention of Nelson...

Re: Does any school have a chance
N-Y needs to beat either NC or Logan to get in, if they don't, they will be home week 11 at 8-2.

Re: Does any school have a chance
Because you have Wayne County schools, and Winfield, and schools north of I70 that could affect the numbers of points needed for the playoffs. If NY has 20 computer points, last year they were in, this year it may not be enough.

Re: Wk. 1 Nelsonville-York@Trimble(Sat. Aug. 27th)
Dont see trimble beating N-Y this year, but Newark Catholic, Bishop Ready, and Logan will be the reasons NY dont make it. Newark Catholic is the only game that NY will have to play 100% mistake free to win. Logan is still rebuilding and I don't see Ready being much better than they were last year. ...

Re: Does any school have a chance
N-Y has a ton back, but a schedule with only 4 home games, and a stronger region will make it a HUGE chore for them to play in week 11.

Re: Does any school have a chance
An 8-2 N-Y team may not be good enough this year in 19. It is so loaded, that 9-1 or 10-0 will be who makes it and some 10-0 will be on the road.BIGHITSINC wrote:Nelsonville-York has a lot coming back this year.

Re: Does any school have a chance
They may be beatable, but now the majority will be from the north, and not here, which will hurt our exposure.

Re: Does any school have a chance
What scares me for the se ohio teams in region 19 is that, there may be at most 3 or 4 that make it to the playoffs now. Last year 2 teams north of I70 made it, now there could be 4-5 or more. That makes it VERY difficult for a very good Wheelersburg team or a very good Nelsonville-York team to get ...

Re: Does any school have a chance
Reigion 19 this year is so different, having 4 Wayne county schools. Most people down here do not know much about them, if they even are playoff caliber, but if they are, then things can be very interesting.

Just remember the first 2 opponents have key players returning, NY is loaded and Wahama is always difficult to beat down on the river.

yes they do have a nice facility, but having turf would make it first class, even somewhere that could host a playoff game.Rocket Proud wrote:Vinton County has a nice facility.

Re: Logan Applies to OCC
I think everyone needs to get all the facts from Logan before assuming the are jumping to the MSL or the OCC. Maybe they had people there just to get information, maybe they are not going anywhere. Newspapers are known to see people there are think they are joining and wanting to get a story.

Re: Nelsonville-York Football 2011
With as many returning starters they have, you would think they should hold their own, even with only 4 home games.
