Re: Gallia Academy vs River Valley Rivalry could be renewed
Original poster was right, back on June 18th. Any word on if SOutheasteren found a new game? Riverview East in Cincy may be only OHSAA team available. With Southeastern D-VI and Riverview East D-VII, it wouldn't be too bad of a matchup other than traveling, but with Southeastern most likely looking...

Re: Thoughts on UAB canning their Football program
Just to update this topic, it was found that despite the lack of success on the field, the school president said they lost millions from football and that the loss of money was the reason for cutting it along with I believe Bowling and Rifle, but after an investigation was conducted, forget by who, ...

Re: 2015-16 Divisions
I agree. It would also be bad for all the teams on their schedule that would be scrambling to try and pick up a game or 2 this late in the offseason Any word on if South Point will be able to sport a girls soccer team this year? Also I think it looks like we'll know how sectionals will be split up ...

Re: OVC Soccer
I noticed last time I was at Portsmouth that there are at least soccer sidelines at the Colosseum so I'd say the field is prepared if Portsmouth decided to add at least boys soccer. Ironton would be another who could also add soccer. I'm not sure though about Rock Hill adding soccer without an impac...

Re: Final year of the SEOAL; 3 sport affiliate membership in
From reading that article, it appears the SEOAL will "exist" as a three sport-affiliate conference - boys soccer, girls soccer, and boys tennis - and will exist thanks to affiliate members from the TVC (Athens, Alexander) and OVC (Gallia Academy). For all other sports, including football,...

Re: Final year of the SEOAL; 3 sport affiliate membership in
Why doesnt Logan Jackson and Warren continue to play for a league title in football and basketball. In football they all could play a home and away game vs one another then only have 6 non league games to fill. Also they would have a 33% chance winning the league title. They plan on that, but it'll...

Re: Final year of the SEOAL; 3 sport affiliate membership in
So gallia academy boys soccer will compete in two conferences. Interesting. It's doable. It fills their schedule up completely competing in 2 leagues and the other OVC teams would be able to compete in the Lawrance County Cup as their 2nd league, even though for them it's just play St. Joe home and...

Re: Gallia Football Schedule ?
Unless RV has dropped Southeastern they can't be playing Gallia in week 2. As far as I know, RV HAS dropped SE and will be playing GAHS in Week 2 at RV. (On Saturday night I believe). Seen on OHSAA's open dates page that Southeastern is looking for a Week 2 game now as of July 1st so River Valley d...

Around 30-35 minutes south of Point Pleasant, WV in a rural part of Mason County, WV. It's an hour drive from South Gallia to Hannan and 55 minutes from Wahama to Hannan.

Re: Why are players leaving Gallipolis?
Looks like it, Kentucky needs to at least follow West Virginia's tournament procedure with 16 teams per class in the football playoffs and decrease the number of classes to 4 or 5 in football to get more teams for each district and maybe 4 or 5 in other sports rather than just 1 total. Maybe even in...

ky. needs to redo their playoffs I remember a 1-9 greenup county team in the playoffs which is total nonsense. I thought you were joking, looked up last year's bracket, in Raceland's bracket alone (1A), there were 3 winless teams, 4 1-win teams, and 2 2-win teams in the playoffs and, of all the .50...

Re: Gallia Academy vs River Valley Rivalry could be renewed
Who knows you might also see River Valley and South Gallia as a regular season game sometime in the future, possible 2018? With the Division RV plays in it would be stupid for them to schedule SG, nothing to gain. Agreed, River Valley-South Gallia should keep their matchup as a jamboree game. Plus ...

Re: Ironton Football 2015
Ironton had all that success under lutz because they were who they were. Lutz played that style because he knew that gave him the best chance of winning and he did just that, more than any coach in the state of Ohio I beleive. So to say we should have done something else is questioning him. There a...

BUCKS IS THAT ALL THEY HAVE SCHEDULED AT THIS POINT. That's all that's listed at this point, but unless they drop Minford, they should have their full schedule for next year. Like I said before, this year's conference schedule will Probably determine which team Gallia plays each week in conference ...
