Re: Final year of the SEOAL; 3 sport affiliate membership in

Marietta is now basically in a 5 team league in the ECOL (them + Cambridge, Dover, New Philly, Zanesville) since the ECOL is not going to have cross division games anymore in a couple years. With only 4 league football games, they might as well also be a member of the SEOAL and pick up three more f...

Re: Can Ohio State repeat?

nothing we can do about the schedule. I wish Maryland and Rutgers were never added, but it is what it is. and our OOC is not that strong this year outside of da hokies. I'm just pleased the big 10 decide no more d2 teams on the schedules. no need for it. no shortage of teams wanting a huge payday a...

Re: Final year of the SEOAL; 3 sport affiliate membership in

Hopefully, now that we know who are dedicated to stay in the SEOAL, they will be proactive in looking at expansion and not expand too big or far and be able to bring stability to the league. Marrietta is clearly the 1st team to go after. Athens should be looked at next even though we all know they a...

Re: Valley @ Portsmouth

these schools are smart to have a game on a Thursday or even Saturday. if the buckeyes play early. they should get a very diverse crowd. plenty of scouting opps. The Buckeyes don't play until the next Monday night (9/7) so that won't be an issue regardless of whether the game was going to be played...

Re: Final year of the SEOAL; 3 sport affiliate membership in

Prediction: Within the next year, Marietta announces they are coming back to the SEOAL and they reform the league with 4 teams (Jackson, Logan, Warren). Zanesville could join that travel list Zanesville may be pushing it, especially for Jackson being a 2 hour drive to and from Zanesville. It's not ...

Ironton is at 153. They weren't in as much danger of dropping down like Burg was at 147. Heck, West got lucky to stay in D-V at 184.

Re: Can we drop the TVC expansion thing?

They've all decreased by at least 5 students each. Federal Hocking took the biggest drop I think, which brings them down to D-VII with the rest of the Hocking schools other than maybe Wahama.

Interesting seeing Hillsboro in Region 9 now rather than Region 10. And the SVC schools in D-V are back in Region 17 again.

Re: Can we drop the TVC expansion thing?

Belpre isn't growing. Belpre is shrinking. Fast. If you compare Belpre today to Belpre ten years ago, there is a huge drop in enrollment. Compare Belpre today to Belpre forty years ago and it's like half the size it used to be. Belpre was larger than Nelsonville-York, Alexander and Wellston at one ...

Re: THE NEW LOOK OF THE NEW OVC 2015

With talk of OHSAA realigning the divisions again will that cause change in the OVC? Including Gallia, the OVC is spread between D-4 through D-6 Well the SVC is currently spread between D-4 through D-6 and Paint Valley was D-7 last year so the OVC may end up like the SVC, but I thing the OVC will b...

D IV 7. Clinton-Massie definitely not in SE Ohio.
Since they are in the SCOL, I figured I'd go ahead and include them.

JJHuddle's Pre-Season State Top 25 Power Rankings

Here are southeastern Ohio teams making an appearance on his top 25 power rankings by each division. Only Divisions 3-7 have been released so far, and I'm sure these power rankings will get adjusted when OHSAA realigns divisions and regions. Division III 8. Jackson 21. Athens Division IV 7. Clinton-...

Nelsonville-York will likely be back down to D6 missing it by 1 boy. Rock Hill will probably see a move down to D6 as well being 1 boy away.

Re: 2015-16 Divisions

Any word on if South Point will be able to sport a girls soccer team this year? Also I think it looks like we'll know how sectionals will be split up for fall sports in the Southeast District on August 19th since that is when the next SEODAB Meeting is scheduled to take place. I haven't heard of So...
