Re: Eastern Pike Baseball 09-10

My guess is that he's returning since he's already been working on the 2010 schedule. He's scheduled a DH with his alma-mater Liberty Union at LU on May 1.

Re: Circleville baseball

Coach Bigham definitely did an excellent job at Circleville, both as their jv coach and then as their varsity coach. Too bad the parents ran him off, if that's true.
Where did he go to college? Circleville's loss is their gain.

Re: Marietta Attends ECOL Expansion Meeting

Yes the MVL would be another good fit for Logan. As far as them going to the MSL, I think the only division of the MSL that would approve them would be the Ohio with the likes of Granville, Newark Catholic, Whitehall, Columbus Academy, Bexley, Heath, Lakewood, Licking Valley. This would be the most ...

Re: Marietta Attends ECOL Expansion Meeting

It's been mentioned on here before by several people that they think Logan should move to the OCC. However, it is obvious that Logan doesn't want to do that. But what about the Mid State League? There are three divisions of the MSL: the Ohio is the big school division (with the exception of Newark C...

Re: Games for Eastern Pike 2010 Season

Coach I got your message yesterday, sorry I didn't get a chance to call you back, I was at the school all day doing inventory.
I sent you a PM about playing next season. That would be great. Hope we can get it set up.

Re: Meigs Posr 128 Baseball tryouts

R_T_N....I didn't know if you'd heard or not so I thought I'd post it here, your buddy (and all high school athletes buddy) Derf passed away this past week at his home in Sugar Grove. The man loved high school sports and would go out of his way to support young athletes, even those he didn't know. H...

Re: Meigs looking for new athletic director

Do they still have two athletic directors, one for boys sports and one for girls like they used to in the past? If so, which one is being replaced?

Re: LEFTY-------Donson Dearth--------

Saw where Fisher lost to Newark Catholic in the District Final tonight 11-2. Did Dearth pitch? How many innings did he throw on Monday? Would have been tough to come back today on just one day of rest.

Actually that would be for the District crown, not the sectional.

Re: Gallipolis to face Athens in tourney

Regardless of the 10 innings every three days rule, if the sectional games are only 2 days apart (one day of rest between them) there is no way Cline (or any ace for any team) would be ready to start the sectional final if he throws even just an average amount of pitches for a 7 inning game. I serio...

Re: LEFTY-------Donson Dearth--------

LOL it is amazing how people can take things on here so far out of context and completely blow them way out of proportion. I didn't call anybody a liar about the radar gun. All I said was that I didn't see anyone there with one, that doesn't mean I don't believe buckeye4. And as far as being jealous...

Re: LEFTY-------Donson Dearth--------

Bird....how can you call me blind when you weren't even at the game to see for yourself how hard LU's two lefty's were throwing? It seems to me that you don't want anyone other than Dearth to succeed, and that's a shame. I've given Dearth all kinds of credit and props for his pitching but you refuse...

Re: LEFTY-------Donson Dearth--------

I didn't see anyone there with a radar gun. Mix is supposed to be playing corner infield, corner outfield, and eventually be a closer for Toledo. If you were in fact there with your radar gun, I'm curious to know what you clocked LU's two lefty's at (Makuch, and Springer)? They both looked to be thr...

Re: LEFTY-------Donson Dearth--------

Fisher Catholic takes back over first place alone in the MSL Cardinal with a 7-2 victory over Liberty Union tonight. A 3 run home run by Michael Wellstead in the 5th inning put the Irish up 5-0 and pretty much did the Lions in. Liberty also committed two big errors that cost runs. LU outhit Fisher 6...

Re: LEFTY-------Donson Dearth--------

Fisher drops to 13-3 overall and back into a first place tie with Liberty Union in the Mid State League Cardinal division after Liberty Union beat the Irish tonight 10-4 at Beavers Field in Lancaster. Dearth was one of four pitchers used by Fisher tonight. The two teams play again tomorrow at LU.

Re: Southern 2009

Yeah that's when most teams begin scrimmaging, the last week of practice before the regular season begins. Let's all hope for some nice dry, warm weather throughout this spring. Good luck to Coach Lemley and the Tornadoes in '09.

Re: Southern 2009

Wow S&W settle down...I wasn't questioning or ripping or criticizing or whatever you want to call it at all. You've obviously read too much into my post. Believe me, as a coach I'd love to be able to scrimmage as early as possible, and anyone who is able to do so, more power to them. My only que...

Re: Southern 2009

How are you scrimmaging early in March? Official full-team practices aren't even allowed to start until March 9. Even if it were allowed, I don't see anyone being able to get a scrimmage in that early with how wet everything still is and I'm sure it will probably be pretty cold early in March. Febru...

Re: Oak Hill Baseball 09'

Where did Haislop transfer to?

Is former Jackson HC and Oak Hill Asst. Jason Wright not coaching anywhere at all anymore? Good coach with quite a bit of success. Didn't see him at the state clinic like I usually do so I wasn't sure his status.
