Re: Does Oak Hill have a week 9 game for 2010 yet?

I have seen on other threads that Ironton was a possibility, but they are still listed as open on the OHSAA website and on Irontonfootball.com.

Does Oak Hill have a week 9 game for 2010 yet?

I have read on here and elsewhere that Wheelersburg replaces River Valley in week 2 and Wellston replaces Trimble in week 4, but what about week 9? South Gallia will be playing a TVC Hocking game that week now so a new opponent is needed.

Re: Congratulations to the Oak Hill Oaks

Congratulations to the team and coaching staff. To add to what iwearblacknikes said, the Oaks also beat the TVC Hocking champs - Trimble, the SOC II champs - Minford, and the OVC champs - Coal Grove. Thanks for giving me two extra football games to watch. Good luck to the seniors, and to the undecla...

Re: The old days of HS Football on Thanksgiving Day

Jackson and Oak Hill played on Thanksgiving Day from 1955 through 1960. Here are the scores (except for 1957, I don't know if the game wasn't played that year or if the newspaper article just didn't list it). 1955 - Jackson 13, Oak Hill 12 A newpaper account states that this may have been the greate...

FANOSPORTS, could some of those teams have traveled by train back then? I recall that being the case, but I can't remember specific teams.

Re: Can the Oaks make the playoffs?

also Minford knocked off a pretty good Wheelersburg team. That's definitely not a good sign that we dropped spots in the rankings but I still think the Oaks have a good shot at making playoffs. I didn't think it mattered to Oak Hill, as far as Level 2 points were concerned, what the records of the ...

Re: Power Poll from T_FB_A after week 6

I think that although most polls are only ranking teams supposedly based on their current season, past success or lack thereof enters into the rankings. For example, Wheelersburg and Ironton have had much success for many years. Therefore, they are generally going to rank higher than those who have ...

NYBuckeye 96, to get the enrollment figures go to the Ohio Department of Education website and enter enrollment in the search box. When you get to the very large Excel spread sheet you will find that the schools are listed by their IRN (don't know what that is), not their name. For example the IRN f...

What are those changes for next year? With the expanded TVC Hocking I assume that Trimble and South Gallia will be off the schedule.
