Re: South Webster @ Wheelersburg 2.5.10
Burg has no chemistry. period.
Steman seems fine. It will be a close game, and I hope the Burg pulls it out, but they are troubled, for sure.

Re: Oak Hill @ Burg 1-19-10
I think the Burg does look like they are down this year. Just my opinion. I hope they get it together as a team, b/c if they don't, it will be a long season (or maybe I mean it will be a short one?)

Re: SOC 2: Early Predictions? 2009-2010
Sorry. We just disagree. The league still seems a little weak to me. I am from Scioto County. Guess we will find out. I've been wrong before, and I hope I am not right about this, but that is what I see.
That will be the fun of it.

Re: SOC 2: Early Predictions? 2009-2010
SOC II is weak. Burg should win out. Leslie IS a very solid player with a lot of talent inside and out, defensively and offensively, so is probably the best all-around. But, numbers of athletes on the squad, goes to Burg. Speed and strength will win out in a weak league. What will they do with it?

Yeah, Pirate Fan 2010
. Spradlin's name was mentioned, three times as a matter of fact, on the all- time Burg shooters' list cut and pasted above.

Re: Who would win: 07 Burg vs. 09 Oak Hill
No Question: Burg. About the same coach wise... both tough defensive teams with intensity, which comes from coaching and heart/attitude but Burg had (imo) WAY more athletic overall and deep, deep, deep (and TWO DI players starting) 6'5", 6'6", and 6'8" starters (two with DI perimeter ...

Re: Western Carolina 74 Elon 67 1/10
Both Ironton's Waginger (jr cptn) and freshman Spradlin from Wheelersburg started that game. Spradlin is fighting for minutes as a freshman, sometimes up and sometimes down. Waginger has settled in during this year. Great to see two former SOC players line up against one another at a jump circle in ...

Re: Going to see Steph Curry tonight!!!!
and Drew Spradlin from Wheelersburg might very well be playing against Curry next week when Elon meets Davidson in a conference matchup... Yikes! Last year, Elon came within a few buckets of beating Davidson in conference play, then met up with them in the tournament finals that sent Davidson to the...

Re: Wheelersburg 08-09
The Pirates will be good this year, after a slow start, as usual! I agree that Kemper can add a lot of athleticism and experience to the team, so I hope he plays. He also is level-headed and going to be a junior, so he would have made a good captain choice, too. But, the captain is chosen in the sum...

Wheelersburg's Pierron Class of 2008 signs
Congratulations to Chad Pierron for selecting (and being selected by!) Lipscomb University, a D-I Christian based college with about 2,500 students located in Nashville, TN and competing in the Sun Conference. Chad makes the third Wheelersburg Class of 2008 graduate/athlete to earn a D-I athletic sc...

Re: Wheelersburg VS Oakhill round 2
Hope the rain holds off so the games can be played. Alexander, I have heard, is not very good this year, either. Lots of teams in southern Ohio seem to be way, way down this years. Why is that? Are kids not playing baseball (other than in the burg?).
