Re: South Webster 2013-2014
Might be wrong, but regardless who Webster bringing in to interview, I still think one of the three current assistants gets hired. Guy from Indiana with no connections to the area wanting to stay in scenic South Webster, Ohio for more than 3-4 years? Doubtful. On top of that, he would probably need...

Re: Minford @ Chesapeake 2/5
There were several uncalled charges in the lane, and of those traveling violations could have easily been called. McCray got beat to death on many of his shot attempts and there were only a couple called. I think the buzzer beater (or nearly buzzer beater I should say) that McBee launched from Peak...

Re: Minford @ Chesapeake 2/5
2 of the refs were fine. One of the ones that I think calls consistent games is Bill Jordan. I dont know who the third one was, but I have seen him several times and he is a j-o-k-e. Bill and the other guy need to find a new partner asap because that clown blows calls Stevie Wonder wouldnt miss eve...

Re: Referees
There are several refs that are very good...all shapes, sizes, ages and backgrounds. The crew I've already mentioned.....all played sports, were very successful, educated and all have been coaches...and very successful. Wright has had baseball teams playing in the regionals. Kreischer has a state c...

Re: Thrown out of a game.
I will never forget my Sophomore year in the Sectional Finals at Waverly. We (Valley) were either the #8 or #9 seed (playing a lot of sophomores and juniors) and we are playing the #1 Southeastern. They were loaded and were somewhere in the 19-2/20-1 range. They had the 6'10" Netter, Wood, and...

Re: Jackson Sectional
Crab... It has nothing to do with this thread, but did you just watch that UCLA-MIzzou game? What a game... proceed! lol No...I'm watching a Minnesota team that scored 20 points once in the last 9 games take my money. You know you can't go against a Jerry Kill coached team with a month to prepare.....

Re: #8 Coal Grove (6-3) @ #1 Lucasville Valley (10-0)
Not a good contest in my opinion. 21 pt margin, Valley. Guess there's a first time for everything. Valley has beaten 3 teams with winning records this season. CG by 16, wheelersburg by 2 and Minford by 7. :122246 Yes but I'm guessing you were a little nervous the 1st half. And I'm pretty sure Wynfo...

Re: SOC II Player of the Year
I still think Howard's defensive efforts are being dismissed. I think the way he has played defensively, along with his offensive accomplishments puts him at the top of the list with Miller. No doubt, Miller's offensive numbers are special... He's a darn good player! Burg's offensive style is going...

Re: #8 Coal Grove (6-3) @ #1 Lucasville Valley (10-0)
Are you talking overall or the run of personal fouls once Valley started to pull away? The reason I ask is CG's 1st half effort was pretty good, but that style is so hard to sustain.fuzzhead wrote:Terrible game. Disgraceful performance CG.
Congrats on a good season CG.

Re: #8 Coal Grove (6-3) @ #1 Lucasville Valley (10-0)
I doubt there will be 3000 cars there tonight, but the money goes to the officials. Their prices go up during the playoffs and Valley has to maintain that 2 TD official advantage... especially during playoff time. ;) Honestly, I don't know exactly where the money goes... I don't know if this helps c...

Re: SOC II Player of the Year
Well I was playing devil's advocate, and trying to give a different perspective while also throwing in the historical relevance of the winning team getting most of the awards. I get it you're a Burg fan and believe the Burg players should get the award. All I know is during the Valley-Burg game, Mil...

Re: SOC II Player of the Year
Howard plays excellent defense... He's not just on the field. While Miller's numbers at QB are excellent and worthy of the award, he's not the defensive player that Howard is. That's why I could see a share happening, because he's offensive numbers are outstanding. And the Heisman very rarely goes t...

Re: SOC II Player of the Year
everyone I've talked to says Arnett has had a great year. He seems to get the call every time Valley needs a big conversion Arnett has had a great season. He's been huge on both sides of the ball and has taken/given many beatings. You could make a very strong case for him... But a senior QB/CB that...

Re: SOC II Player of the Year
Miller may have the stats --- Howard the leadership. I do wish they had a player of the year. When you look at what Arnett does on both sides of the ball it is very impressive. He has taken a beating this year at running back and line backer. Where did Howard go to school/play ball last year ? Howa...

Re: SOC II Player of the Year
The back of the year award is vague... It says "back", not quarterback, not running back. Miller clearly has the numbers advantage on Howard, but Howard has been a great defensiveBack this season. His play on both sides of the ball, along with the head to head win and SOC title gives the a...

Re: 2012 VALLEY INDIANS
The spread isn't going anywhere and honestly it shouldn't... The spread is not a "throwing offense" as you seen with the Indians this season. It is used to "spead" out the defense and use speed and quickness of the backs as well as not requiring lineman to blow people off the ba...
