Re: Caldwell(8-13) vs River (15-6) Sectional Final 3/2 UL

Like someone stated, they'll need someone to step up offensively to help Weichman. Itd be nice to see Svercek get going from deep again. Kids got a nice shot, just been inconsistent lately. Defense and rebounding are key though. Don't want to give the pilots any second chance opportunities.

Re: Caldwell(7-13) vs Beallsville (18-2) 2-22 @ UL

Coffman was a solid coach, I'll give him props. Took Caldwell to the playoffs for the first time in a long long while. Unfortunately they ran into the gauntlet that was Newark catholic.

Burson on the other hand, not so much.

Re: Pioneer Valley All-League Awards

IMO, absolutely. Loves the game, great attitude and is a total team player. Good shooter, can handle it well, and is just as happy having 2 points as much as he is having 30. Only cares about the team winning. I've seen him completely take over games, and I've seen him lay back and be a facilitator ...

Yes, his brother graduated a few years ago and is the current JV coach. They'll be much better offensively.

Re: Pioneer Valley All-League Awards

I wouldn't say he won't have much help. They'll be inexperienced, but I'd think they'll be better offensively next year. Won't have as much size though.

That's everyone outside of smith. I assumed everyone knew smith was a no brainer.

Re: Pioneer Valley All-League Awards

Weichman
Hurst
Neuhart
Inderhuhle
Price
Caldwell

Those are in no particular order, just 6 off the top of my head. And that's not including anyone from trail since I can't remember their names, and I heard wise from mc quit. You might get smith and one other on a unbiased top 10 list, but not four.

Re: Pioneer Valley Conf Updates

Surely a weak little league like the PVC couldn't have 3 sectional champions? Looks like some need to realize this isn't the league it was the past couple years. Much better teams and talent here now than in years past.

Re: Caldwell(8-13) vs River (15-6) Sectional Final 3/2 UL

Going to be a tough one for the Redskins, but of course, so was the last one. River will be a tough match-up, but if they play well, I could see the Redskins taking this game. Still have to improve on limiting the turnovers and shooting better from the foul line.

Neuhart over Hurst? Not sure I agree with that.

I don't think now is the time to be calling anyone out. The Redskins picked up a big win last night, let's not deminish anything they've accomplished by being negative to anyone associated with the program. They've got another big game coming up soon. Time to support them no matter what's going on.

Re: Caldwell(7-13) vs Beallsville (18-2) 2-22 @ UL

Wish I could, but I didn't get to attend this one. Great win for the Skins though. These are the wins I've been expecting all season. From what I was told, weichman was the high scorer at halftime, so I'm guessing he had 38 for the skins.

But if warren is some great powerhouse, why are they only beating little old FF by small margins? Warren is a good team, but don't kid yourself. They aren't near the top in Ohio high school basketball.

What a dramatic finish to the regular season! To EXCELLENT teams and two GREAT coaches....Coach Dan had his plan and Coach Maddox had his...Maddox had decided to start his 5 seniors on SENIOR NIGHT at the start of the game and the start of the second half....the teams played even in the first half ...

Re: Fort Frye (15-3) @ Warren (16-2) 2/21

24-10 in the 4th?! Hey FF, hit the weight room and find a 6th and 7th player, and maybe you can last for FOUR quarters! I have no ties to either team, but you're seriously making Warren's fan base look really bad. I know every school has some obnoxious fans, but come on. Maybe it's time to ma...

Re: Fort Frye (15-3) @ Warren (16-2) 2/21

Just because Warren is in a bigger conference, doesn't mean they are automatically better. Their entire schedule isn't exactly made out of powerhouses, nobodies is. Don't forget, Warren plays Belpre as well. Kind of hypocritical to rag on a team for playing Belpre when you do the same. I'd say teams...

If you're gonna do all this talking, you should at least know what conference FF plays in.
