Re: JR High, JV and Varsity football Combined Rec

Portsmouth’s jv program is a complete mess. Watching some of the games I’m told they are separate from the varsity. Are the tackling dummies for the varsity which is fine and get little to no reps. Every jv game I been too the varsity players are there giving tips. Portsmouth tells there varsity kid...

Long year last year as well. Hate seeing them on the losing end. I hope the future looks better. I’m sure the boys are trying as hard as they can

Re: (2-4) Manchester @ (5-1) Green

Green gets back on track. Glad I’m not a betting man because I would of lost money last Friday. I thought green would win that game. Not sure what happened but that’s why the games are played.

Re: (3-3) Portsmouth @ (3-3) Chesapeake

I’ll flip a coin Friday lol. I honestly had this a win preseason. But Chesapeake has really played well. Portsmouth beat them easy last year so I was kind of expecting the same. I was wrong.

Lambiotte throws for 400 yards or more. Jv gets a lot of action. I want south point to be competitive but still in the works

Re: (3-3) Portsmouth @ (3-3) Chesapeake

I was told Chesapeake has a huge line that actually gave Ironton a fit the first quarter and a half. Was told there qb is fast. They run a fast offense and a lot of short slants and short passes. Gallia ate Portsmouth up on screens. I’m not sure what team shows up. But if you give up over 30 again w...

Re: (2-4) Valley @ (5-1) West

I’m taking west. Valley has improved a lot. If that Portsmouth game was a different week then week 1 I bet the score is closer or possibly a win. Not sure what valley has coming back but they keep improving each week.

Re: Week 7: Gallia Academy @ Coal Grove

Trojans ran all over coal grove. Gallia ran all over Portsmouth. Gallia by 2 scores. Unless coal grove had a bad defensive night they had no run defense.

Re: WEEK 7 -- 4-2 IRONTON @ 2-4 ROCK HILL. WHAT SAY YA'LL HERE.

Since the hire I have followed Ironton. Even been to a couple practices and seen the young coach In action. He recently graduated from Michigan state. he has learned practice and conditioning from a major division 1 school. He’s brought youth and got rid of the old system. He’s very vocal and in you...

Re: Coal Grove 36 Portsmouth 34

Looks like Portsmouth needs to find 3 things, defense coach, something more the Parker and a kicking game. good teams Will shadow Parker like West did. You need a passing game to open up the run, yes I know Parker go his 260 plus but it’s not going to keep happening until they get the passing game ...

Re: Portsmouth (3-2) @ Coal Grove (3-2)

A battle of no defense. Coal groves offense just mowed our kids over. There qb was a beast. There left side receiver I don’t think dropped 1 pass. Our coaching staff has to show some kind of emotion. They act the same if we win by 50 or lose by 50. It’s ok to yell and get upset at the boys. It’s coa...

Re: Portsmouth (3-2) @ Coal Grove (3-2)

They need to win out. That Ironton game is going to be really tough. Probably our hardest one of the year. Take it one game at a time. Don’t overlook any team.

Re: Waverly (5-0) @ Valley (2-3)

So it sounds like this one could possibly be a shootout? Or the battle of who commits the least amount of turnovers? I have not watched Valley at all, just know the final scores to their games. But I am pretty confident in Waverly's ability to score and it seems like Valley can put some points up a...

Re: Green (5-0) @ Notre Dame (0-5)

I think it’s awesome people talk about green so far. There program has been getting beat up every year. Win 1 or 2 games. Barely have enough kids to field a team. Didn’t have enough to play oak hill last year. So to be 5-0 is amazing. They struggled against bad teams. They have played a lot better. ...

Re: WEEK 6 - 3-2 CHESAPEAKE PANTHERS @ 3-2 IRONTON FIGHTING TIGERS

I think Ironton rolls big. But from reading about them in past games they fumble a lot and have a lot of penalties. If that happens Peake has a really good chance. If Ironton gets those fixed they win pretty easy. Those boys are in shape and getting better every week. Once the fundamentals are fixed...

Re: Green (5-0) @ Notre Dame (0-5)

Green is a amazing story right now. 5-0 and have a decent amount of kids. They have a lot of confidence and that carries over to week 6. Green wins.

I am going with waverly. I enjoy watching there offense on film. There quick, throw a lot, run a hurry up. Valley is improving but taking waverly by 10 or more
