Re: Westboro Baptist in Logan Ohio........
I'm sure that most who are "on the right" would distance themselves just as much as those "on the left". To me, they are extremists, period. Anyhoos... as a former Marine, I'll stand for what I believe in. I have been in contact with a couple of Veterans from other counties. They...

Re: Stupid Question
For instance, A Logan Band member was Section Leader after the "tryouts" and during Band Camp. Did all of the preliminary work, direction and help with prep. for the upcoming season. Even had her/his Section meet, and work late to be sure they were prepared for the final day of camp and se...

Funny you should ask that. ^^^ It happens everywhere. Political, social and personal aspects dictate some decisions in every district.know all wrote:what about mr. north from logan
I am sorry to see that it happens elsewhere too.

Re: Derek Roback - ND
Scott Gasser of Logan, a former SEOAL MVP, was a three year starter for ND back when they knew how to play football. Logan has had a number of starters at D-I programs. Good for him and Logan but I am pretty sure this topic isn't about Logan.( I know that is hard for you to believe, but people do t...

Re: Trimble Tomcats Softball
I haven't made a visit to Trimble for almost 20 years. I know of 1 former teacher, and a lady who succeeded as coaches-Who is the coach now? Also, do they play travel Softball in the summer there these days? My Daughter has been to 2 softball World Series, and I've watched a lot. One common variable...

Re: Head Wrestling Coach Interview
Good point-by both! The individual wrestler is going to cut weight at his own discretion in most cases. There are too many variables to give an absolute number of pounds due to size/percentage of fat etc. Somewhat of a rhetorical question until more questions follow. (Which will happen!) I have only...

Re: Who wins Seoal and Weight classes?
Round Robin is best for experience, validation of a true champion and for the overall record for seeding later on. Just my Humble opinion. Wish it were that way when I was in school. Soph and Junior years would have seen me in at least 1 higher spot! GRR Wish them all the best of luck. Belated, but ...

Awesome! I wasn't 85 pounds until 7th grade! Hehe.
Good luck! Glad to see you're bringin' 'em up right!
I only have girls. (boohoo) Still fun, just different stuff.

Re: 2010 MARINE CORPS WRESTING CHALLENGE OH VS.WV
Next year you could invite 1st. all State placers, 2nd. State Qualifiers, 3rd. District Placers, 4th. District Records. Like Tric does for the SE all-Stars. Even if you had to bump up a state Placer or qualifier I'm sure you would be putting together a better team than years past. I get tired of he...

Re: Jackson @ Logan
I just have an interesting question to pose... I wonder how many basketball courts, or even Hoops per student there are in Logan, in a "walk-to" location, for most students as compared to a lot of places who excel in the sport? It doesn't seem to be a very high priority here, and the best ...

Re: O.U. Bobcat wrestling club cancelled the next 2 Sundays
Tric, stuff like that used to ruin my weekend... but as a parent now.... Understood. Happy holidays. P. S.: I remember once at the Meigs round robin, my (maybe) soph or Junior year... I was napping during an intermission between rounds on the mat. You jumped on me and immediately began trying to pin...

Re: 15U Stingrays looking for Shortstop
I asked on Dec. 17th, and still no reply. This is almost the end of Feb. Those who posted an opening must not be looking very hard if they haven't seen this yet.
I asked a simple, easily answered question.
By the way, good luck in whatever you intend to do Coach Seeds!

Re: Nelsonville-York may add junior high softball and baseball
Logan softball doesn't have a JH program, but 95% of the other schools in D-1 and 2 do. Maybe this part of the state will learn how to catch up when N-Y starts beating the crap out of Logan on a regular basis (or at least showing the ability to, 'cause they won't continue scheduling them!). Good luc...

Re: WHAT SCHOOLS NEED TO ADD WRESTLING?
To keep your metabolism moving, even the "stupid" wrestler knows to eat a couple of bites of something a few times a day. With proper food selection, a kid can eat a handful EACH of broccoli and some carrots, lettuce and an apple for less than 200 calories. That's enough to completely fill...

Re: Bobcat Duals 1-25-09
Is this at the Convo. @ 10A on Jan. 25th? (Just making sure I'm clear) And what is the cost? I know circleville likes their wrestling for a mid-sized school. How good is D. Hayes? IMO ya should have kicked out W. North and invited St. Ed's.! Realistically though St P. Graham would be cool. Good luck...

Re: 15U Stingrays looking for Shortstop
I was wondering if Jeff Seeds was still coaching this age group. He is a good person and patient coach. I like the example he sets on the field. I didn't see his name on next year's coaching list on the Stingray site.
