From what I have seen this year, the Trojans have one thing they haven't had in several years...a team attitude. They can calm each other down when needed, hype each other up when needed.

I have seen a hunger (for lack of a better word) that hasn't been there previously.

Depending on the age you are talking about, I feel the parent should not speak to the coach about playing time. If there is a true issue, the player should be the one to ask. Have him/her approach the coach and ask what they need to do to improve their skills to get more playing time. This solves 2 ...

Congrats to all the Scioto County swimmers. We were well represented.

For PHS Evan Sommer qualifed for District in the back stroke and broke the school record.

The 200 freestyle relay team of Evan Sommer, Jonathon Royster, David Pettit & Mitch Gower also qualifed for Districts.

The team this year has a new coach, Hailey Walsh. This is her 1st time coaching and is doing a great job.

There are approximately 40 kids on the swim team this year. A large amount are Freshmen.

Wheelersburg did win the meet on the 16th with Portsmouth placing 2nd.

One comment on the whole SP coach suspension...You didn't have a problem with it last year when the EXACT same thing happened to Portsmouth. Our coach had the exact same situation and he was forced out for 2 games. No one seemed to care then because it was Portsmouth. At least they just let the coac...
