Re: Gridiron Glory This Season

What about an offensive and defensive player of the year instead of just 1, seems to always favor the offense (not that that is bad, they're the playmakers and scoring points so I'm sure there is more exciting footage of those guys) , just like the Heisman in College Football. There are some stud d...

Is Fort Frye big enough to compete in the Ohio? I always thought they were a smaller school.

Last I heard they had shut down practice for 2 weeks bc someone on the team went on vacation and was exposed to the virus. Might be back to it, not sure.

Re: What OHSAA Owes Us, The Devoted Fans

 That's great if you get service at the field, there are several in SE Ohio that don't. I realize that. I have broadcasted from games. Again - I believe Ohio schools have universal high speed internet in their buildings. So if the stadium is at the school it would not be difficult to run a CAT...

Re: What OHSAA Owes Us, The Devoted Fans

There are over 700 football teams in Ohio, which means at least 350 games a week. There is no way anybody could provide live streams to every game. There are many locations that do not have good enough internet access to provide a live feed even if they wanted. As mentioned above, this would be up ...

Re: Fort Frye attempts to join TVC Ohio

From a parent stand point, a hour and a half+ for 3 of the schools, is going to be hard on those that ride the bus home, especially winter sports when it gets dark at 5 pm, and for games midweek when they have to get up early for school.

They have a huge mural of him in his confederate uniform on their gym wall.
Not anymore, they painted over it last school year.

Re: 2020 Football Season

If there is football, I will be there, even if it's to stand in the parking lot. Seen too many kids hurt over the years and no parent there. There is no reason they can't give each player a pass or two to allow parents in, that will limit the number of people there and mandate they wear masks and st...

Re: Acceptable Sacrifices To See The 2020 Season Take Place?

1. Quarantine all players and personnel for 14 days that have been to beach’s,played all summer in leagues, wore no masks, not even tried to social distance all summer these people would need to be sidelined for 14 days. This should be a mandatory requirement for school districts to even let all th...

Wats. Chances of schools being able to charge a fee for live-streams? Something similar to a PPV??
[/quote]

Be difficult to do live stream at schools that barely get cellphone reception, which is several in the SE Ohio area.

There will be fall sports. There will be fans in the stands. Maybe somewhat limited, but there will be fans. They screwed the kids in the spring. They are not going to do it again. You are exactly right..things changing daily..by the time football gets here it will be like this never even happened ...

Re: No fans this fall

I am hoping that things do get straightened out enough that this won't be an issue come start of season. If not, I will stand outside the fence or in the parking lot if neccessary. I've seen too many kids hurt over the years and no parents at the game, that there will be at least 1 parent for my son...

Re: Gallia Academy to the TVC-Ohio

I hate to be negative, but I cannot see a new field in the near future. I can remember going to the swamp back in the early 2000’s and Gallia had plans for a new field. For some reason that didn’t happen and Gallia’s Holzer gave a bunch of money to Jackson for their field. Weird Gallia didn’t get t...

How many starters coming back for RV ? Weber and Bowman are the only two I can recall off hand. Rest of the team will be underclassmen. Hopefully everyone comes back and they can maybe add another win or two this season. Ryan Jones and Will Hash are also back. This team will only have 4 seniors, an...

Re: 3 Week Shutdown

It would make no sense to come and lift and not come to class. I see what your saying, but Dewines message said no people gatherings of more than 100. Therefore thats why all schools are closing. But Workouts wouldn’t consist of 100 or more. So could football programs still hold winter workouts? My...
