Not sure where Rose would fit in there but I have not seen him play so no opinion on him.

Re: Coach Howie Caldwell
40 yrs? If my math is correct it is closer to 30 than 40. Were these 4 schools in the same league? Did each of those schools run out of talent while the new school had talent coming up? Did he move to each new community? Just wondering! From my research I found that Howie started teaching and coach...

Wow. Kinda struck a nerve in the "Howie Nation". I had a really cool (but long) response ready to post but my imac froze up. So rather that re-type it, let me just make it simple for you. Do I care where he coaches? No Do I have an opinion of why he coaches so many places? Yes Do I agree ...

You might want to correct that score in the heading...EasternDspy wrote:Fort Frye wins 62-42. Fort Frye lead by 32 when they pulled starters. Cody Paxton and Pottmeyer dominated the Cadets bench in the 4th. The game could of been 40 plus.

Coach Howie Caldwell
I've been a Howie fan for several years. I wondered why he left Eastern to go to Federal Hocking but was happy when he won a TVC Hocking title @ FH. I was disappointed when he left FH. I lost some respect when I realized he was chasing the talent and going to Trimble. Tonight I lost all respect for ...

Re: Coach Butcher at Federal Hocking
Rumor on the street is that Howie will provide free tomatoes for 1 year to Coach Butcher after last night's SG game.
Seriously though, he's a top notch coach and FH is lucky to have him. Their success says alot about this group of players as well. He coaches and they listen.

Very costly game for Rebels. So impressed with Fed Hock. Not many players they play with a lot of heart and discipline.

Re: Tuesday 1/13 Scores & schedule
Regarding the Athens and Alexander game - looked to me like both teams defended at a high level, played their butts off and Athens made enough plays at the end to seal the deal. Both teams shooting was below their norms, but defense played a major role. +1 Defense and cold shooting is indeed what c...

Howie will be at a disadvantage without the Stomp. It didn't get much press at the time but when Howie left FH, the Sturt City Council outlawed stomping during sporting events. Can't even use the Stare after 5 pm.
