Re: 8 1/2 weeks & Counting until the 2025-26 Hoops Season Tips Off !!!

SOC III Minford: A lot of new faces for Minford this season after graduating one of the best senior classes to ever play at Minford along with Coach Shoemaker retiring. This will be a group that will defend every night and will get better as the season progresses. The big question for them is who w...

Re: JEEPS summer ball

swanker: hate to hear that about Stephens...he was in line for a big season after how he played down the stretch last year for Webster. Never a good time for an injury like that, but going into his senior year is absolutely brutal. Jeeps are gonna be thin in the frontcourt, but so is rest of SOC III...

OHSBCA Midwest Live is this weekend at Cedar Point. Local teams there include Chesapeake, Meigs, and Wheelersburg. Will try to update results as the internets provide them.*

The Jackson Summer League- Well ran league by Jackson Unioto Hands down the best team in the league. Loaded with size, skill, and athleticism. Fitch is one of the best players in the region, and Combs continues to prove why he’s an elite coach. Expect them to make a deep tournament run. Jackson Sen...

Is Adkins going to be able to go any this summer or just gonna take it easy for the season? Will be a key piece for the Trojans.*

Re: Portsmouth to the SOC3 2027

Goose: agreed on the scheduling. What a nightmare for AD’s trying to find suitable opponents late in the season for football. But yeah, this move would have never been made years ago. And some of that was the SOC schools’ fault, and some of that Portsmouth’s fault. But it looks like a great fit now,...

Maybe, maybe not. But that not long enough to give a coach a chance to build a program.

I didn’t like the Diebler hire as tOSU bball coach, and still don’t. But he deserves a couple more years to build a program before they move on from him.*

Re: Minford coaching job

Minford has hired a new head basketball coach. To be approved at the next school board meeting next week. Last job was coaching small college ball on the girls side. More details to come I’m sure. Perdas? If so, glad to see a local boy (South Webster grad) getting a shot. Whoever it ends up being t...

Re: Southeast District Division V Tournament

Bold strategy of Valley not to start their ace in this game in my opinion. Rainout Friday night pushed back Powell's start to Saturday, so he would've been going on 3 days rest. Coach Crabtree mentioned in SOSA interview an injury early in the Burg game, so not sure if bringing Powell back on short...

Re: Southeast District Division V Tournament

Congrats to the Tigers! Congratulations Fighting Tigers. Seems to be very little interest in a team 1 win from the final 4. For whatever reasons high school baseball always takes a backseat to all the other h.s. boys sports no matter how good the program/team is, sad really. Agreed. Would like to s...

Re: Portsmouth to the SOC3 2027

The SOC hasn't even voted on it yet, lol. The guy I talked to told me that there was going to be a vote at next SOC meeting and Portsmouth has "unanimous support" this time around. I asked him "what's changed?" and he said mainly b/c the 3 divisions have worked great in other sp...

LC vs Portsmouth District Final - 5/29 @ 7pm
Lynchburg-Clay and Portsmouth will be a great game. Solid group of seniors for LC. Portsmouth knocked them out of tourney last year, so will see if the Trojans can do it again.*

Call me crazy but everyone at waverly is staying and a pretty big time transfer coming in not saying final four but watch out for the tigers…… ... who's the transfer? There's word circling around that Oak Hill's Colben Beucler 6'2" Soph. is transferring to Waverly, but who knows for sure...?? ...

Re: Minford coaching job

Name I heard potentially interested was Travis Bradford. This makes a lot of sense and would be a homerun hire for Minford. Like others said, Bradford’s son graduated, so I could see him being interested in being a head coach again. Did a solid job at East and West in the past, as well as top assis...

Congrats to South Webster and Coach McClintic. Good teams find ways to win... Waverly 1-0 Valley 2-1 Wheelersburg 1-0 Valley 3-2 Wheelersburg 1-0...not too shabby. No doubt...saw it was Webster's first conference title since 1981! They play great defense and do the little things it takes to win bal...
