Re: Round 2 Wheelersburg vs. Liberty Union at Jackson

IF both Burg and West win this weekend, the OHSAA would be nuts to play the Regional Final anywhere but Lucasville. But it is the OHSAA we're dealing with, so it'll probably be played somewhere out of the county like Rock Hill or Jackson.*

Re: Round 2 Bishop Ready vs. Portsmouth West AT LOGAN

hammerdown: the Huddle just doesn't have many posters anymore from southern Ohio. But that's probably a good thing for SEOPS as this place has exploded in popularity over the last few years. If I remember right, the Ironton posters led the exodus from the Huddle in 2005 due to their biased coverage ...

Re: Round 2 Wheelersburg vs. Liberty Union at Jackson

Valley didn't put in for a playoff game??? That would've been the most logical location for a Regional Final game if Burg and West both win this weekend.*

Re: What school do u think will be the biggest suprise this year

sawdust: it isn't sensitive to me because I wasn't one of the Webster posters on here whining about Africentric (and you're right, there were a bunch of Webster posters who were). My stance then (and I stated it numerous times on here and the Huddle) was since I cheered for the '03 Webster girls tea...

Re: Lady Jeeps 2008

Congrats to the Lady Jeeps! Represent Webster well at Regionals. Quick question...didn't a Webster volleyball team a few years back make it to the Regional Finals? Someone asked me and I thought they did (lost to Centerburg if I remember correctly). But either way, good luck to the girls tonight.*

Re: What school do u think will be the biggest suprise this year

therepublican: here's what you said: "...can't see anyone else around the area being a huge threat unless I really don't know about them or they received some senior transfer like webster did with waginger to win a championship which is more often than not anymore.... " The last 7 words an...

Re: What school do u think will be the biggest suprise this year

therepublican: Whether you're "affiliated" with Burg or not, you're obviously a fan of them (go check the Wheelersburg 08-09 thread YOU STARTED if you disagree). You've made the Waginger/Webster whine a couple of times now, so that's why I spoke up. But I guess the frowning icon doesn't in...

Re: What school do u think will be the biggest suprise this year

I look for Northwest to be a solid team in SOC II, but will be hard for them to make a tourney run in D2. I've also heard some good things on Valley in SOC II. therepublican: I'm presuming you're a Burg fan from your posts? What about players transferring into Burg for basketball over the years like...

Re: Minford vs. Berlin-Hiland, Oct 28.

Congrats to Minford on a HUGE win for their school, and for southern Ohio soccer in general. Good luck on Saturday. B1Ohio: hopefully they will move the soccer gametime up to around noon so Minford fans can make it to the soccer game and get back in time for the football game. I would think this is ...

Re: 2008-09 South Webster Jeeps

sawdust: I'd assume Connor Scott will handle the point for Webster. Alot of people I kept in contact with during last season (lived out of the area, so only got to a few games) thought he should have gotten more minutes as the point was an issue all season with way too many turnovers leading to easy...

Re: 2008-09 South Webster Jeeps

Keegan: like the picture under your moniker! As for the assistants, I heard that Cole decided not to coach this upcoming season. If true, he will definitely be missed as he coached most of these kids the last couple of years. u_know_me: I've never seen those group of kids play, but I've been told th...

South Webster 08-09

Might as well get a thread started with soccer season over. But what's your thoughts on this upcoming season, Webster fans? The Jeeps have some decent talent back in Scott, Loop, Queen and Malone among others. They also might be getting some help from a solid freshman class the way it sounds. I look...

Re: Burg Soccer

Have their starters been playing the last few games or are they resting them for the tourney? The South Point and Jackson scores were definitely surprising. I remember thinking before the season that Burg would be dominant in SOC with the addition of Lewis...definitely didn't think they'd finish thi...

Re: SOC Scores and standings

Sounds like a well-played game between Webster and Burg. Wasn't there so I can't comment on whether Webster was playing for a tie. But looking at shots on goal, I'd presume Webster pushed up at times. I'd assume Burg will get the #1 seed with the quality victories over Minford and Waverly. Assuming ...

Re: WHEELERSBURG AT SOUTH WEBSTER 10-02

Hopefully the focus is on the teams playing, not one individual. I remember the exact situation about eleven years ago...Webster player transfers to Minford and the players were so concerned about shutting him down, that they lost their focus/cool and were beaten both games. This game is probably fo...

Re: SOCII Predictions 08-09

Wow...didn't know Lang would be out for basketball too and hadn't heard about Whitely either. Regardless, they'll still be a decent team but I'd probably put Northwest and Minford in front of them on that information.*

Re: SOCII Predictions 08-09

No need for Webster to rush Cook back. Her injury probably costs them a realistic shot at winning the league, but they should still be able to get back to Regionals with her in the lineup come D4 tourney time.*

Re: SOCII Predictions 08-09

Oak Hill is the clear favorite in the SOC II this year and probably will be Norm's best shot at reaching the State tourney. But Wheelersburg is always in the mix and I look for Northwest to be up there as well. My Jeeps are relying on alot of underclassmen that will take their lumps in conference pl...

Re: Fan of more then 1 team?

I cheer for South Webster obviously, but also root for Notre Dame as my wife graduated from there (usually make it to a few football games a year). I also root for Portsmouth basketball because of Coach Shoemaker being a friend, and plus because I remember going to PHS games as a kid when they playe...
