Re: Big Boy
To share the unpopular opinion in the room... Playing college football ain't a hell of a lot of fun. It's a lot more like work, and if you don't absolutely need/love the game, it's easy to say "enough of this," and move on. I played three seasons in a a D3 program in the early 90s, and eve...

Re: Referee of 50 Years Dies
I have one of those Artie Foo silver dollars in my stuff.
Southern vs. Kyger Creek, 1990.
He called me for a cheap facemask penalty that night. Because he knew Dad, he let me argue a little, but then we just laughed about it.

Re: Uh-oh: Jim Tressel could be in major NCAA hot water
I never have been a big Tressel fan; he bores me to death. However, he kept the Buckeyes winning -- cleanly, it seemed -- and kept beating Michigan... I always thought that Rich Rod was a more interesting guy; now it seems that he might have been the more honest guy. Rich Rod was an arse made no bon...

Re: Columbus Disptach article- Portsmouth Spartans
We play our semi-pro games there in Spartan. It may need a little TLC, but it is still a great place to play football.

Re: Bengals new OC.
I read the article originally when it was still fresh. Seeing one's boyhood heroes go down in flames is never fun. Please do not question the accuracy of my reading. I loved Bernie as much as anybody. He and Mark Bavaro were THE two posters on my wall through high school. Was Bernie a bright footbal...

Re: Week 7: OSU vs. Wisconsin
I just finally got to watch the OSU-Wisconsin game. Wisconsin just seemed to physically dominate the OSU defense. Like most teams that we get to see on Saturdays, OSU has adapted its defense to deal with three and four-wide receiver offenses. A pounding offense like the Badgers run is a rough change...
