Re: RIVER VALLEY FOOTBALL OR SOCCER

Very well put, sandman.

If there is no value put upon winning, if "you did your best" is the common refrain, most folks in this world will not take the extra steps needed to secure the wins in life.

A person who doesn't fear losing, at least on some level, isn't driven very hard to win.

Re: RIVER VALLEY FOOTBALL OR SOCCER

Someone without local ties who comes in from way out of state will certainly use RV as a way up the coaching ladder.

Of course, Rich Rodriguez was a local guy in Morgantown, so even hiring a local guy is no guarantee. LOL

Anybody know who might be scheduled to pitch for the Rebels when they play the next few nights?

When is BJ Stanley expected to pitch again?

Re: Has anything been done at River Valley?

Wow... I wonder how ethical it is for somebody to get on here and have a bash at Coach Kunz, especially to do it from behind an anonymous username. besides that... I never have understood some people's xeno-philic tendencies. Remember, the Wizard of Oz was only a wizard because nobody in Oz knew him...

Re: Do you think spring sports benefit football players?

Does a bear crap in the woods? Is the Pope a Catholic? Lifting weights is great for football don't get me wrong, however football is NOT just about strength. Football is about the ability to EXPRESS that strength as movement. Anything that involves moving the entire body in quick, explosive movement...

All questioning of the actual measurement aside, I am sure it was quite a long throw.

I hope to get to see Duke throw at some point.

4.2.08 YOU MAKE THE CALL

Today's situation:

You are down 14-10; its 3rd and goal, and you are at your opponent's four-yard line. There is :12 left on the clock coming out of your last timeout.

On first and second down, the defense gave you a 6-5 goalline defense.

How do you win the game?

We should start to get an idea of what teaching positions will be opening up in the GCLSD very soon.

Maybe this will get some things rolling.
