Re: Eastern Brown now 9-1
This was big boy basketball. Physical game on both ends. Well played. Both teams didn’t play well at times but probably due to the defense of the other. Looked like a tourney game minus Lou!

Re: 3/14 Fairland vs. Harvest Prep - Regional Final
Its going to take a total team effort. Harvest will come in as the big favorite. They better not leave us in the game late! This Dragon team knows how to finish games. Good luck Coach Speed and the Dragons!

Re: Fairland vs Chesapeake 3/6 District Finals
I know it sounds elementary but the team that makes "shots" wins. What I mean by this is the shooting background at the Convo is completely different than any that either team plays on during regular season play. Both teams have plenty of experience in big games but this one is huge. Add t...

Fairland returns most of their lineup from last year. Should be pretty good.

Re: D3 District - Fairland vs. South Point
South Point has a shot if they can take care of the ball. Fairland got very "ME" oriented last week against Westfall. Backdoor stuff was there all night and they didnt take advantage of it like they usually do. It is always tough to beat a team 3 times but I think it happens here. Fairland...

Re: 1/7 Chesapeake @ Fairland
Last nights game was intense! Both teams came to play. I felt the key was Fairland dominating the boards. Neither team is real big, but Fairland got all of the 50/50 boards. Williams was a beast. Rematch should be a good one as well. I look for the Peake to not lose another one up to that game. I ha...

Fairland had a nice win last night over Huntington High (AAA in Wva. D1 ohio). Dragons took control in the 2nd quarter and rolled to the victory.

Re: Warren Vs Huntington at Rio???
Huntington is loaded. Very strong athletic team that has been hampered by long playoff runs in football over the last few years. Didn't happen this year so they have been in the gym for a while. Archer from Chesapeake transferred there as well.

Re: Is the Pitch Count Rule Hurting the Game?
8 quality pitchers? Most high school teams have 3-4 varsity kids that can legit pitch. 3-4 more on the JV squad. What I am saying is that if a team gets behind early, we are seeing coaches pull varsity pitching to save for a later game and using inexperienced Jv kids to finish. It is happening! Ive ...

Re: Is the Pitch Count Rule Hurting the Game?
I do have a clue Gold Blood. I won't go into my background but I do. All I'm saying is the game is already on a downturn. I know the reasoning but I do not feel like amount of pitches is a good gauge. Tommy John surgery or the injury that causes the surgery was not real prevalent until you started s...

Is the Pitch Count Rule Hurting the Game?
I feel that the pitch count rule is killing the high school game of baseball. I understand the reasoning behind it (pitcher arm safety), but putting inexperienced kids on the mound 60 ft from a missile fired back at them isn't safe either. Some of the games I have seen this year are boring after a c...

Re: 2018/19 Fairland Dragons (17-4 | 12-1 OVC)
Well none against Gallia to start with. I had them splitting with SP, 2 with rock hill, split with Peake and Coal Grove, and Portsmouth sweep. Thought they could contend with Webster and Ironton (H). Didn't think they would win any other non-conference game. Man they overachieved! What was your pres...
