Lady Cavs get the 2013-14 campaign underway with a 64-36 win at Logan Elm. Great energy by the Lady Cavs.

Re: Chillicothe Cavaliers

Hitchbone64 feeling real bad for the kids right now. Mid-Summer changes are horrible. Young kids camp cancelled next week. We will rebound though. Watch for a you g man on the sidelines tomorrow replacing Meister in the Shoot Out. Chilly has up and coming coaches around and we will survive. Go Cavs!

Re: Chillicothe Cavaliers

The challenge is fir the staff and the young kids to expect to win and show the Southeast District who the king of the Convo has been for the past 7 years. 10-0 in District games is special and rarely seen. This team can get it to 11-0 and than anything can happen. GO CAVS!!! Got to get past by my ...

Re: Chillicothe Basketball

This years team had 16 players between JV and Varsity. One Senior and 15 freshman or sophomores. To put it mildly this is a young team will get better. The sectional final saw this team start two Freeman and three sophomores. If the kids and parents commit themselves to getting stringer and working ...

Re: Chillicothe Cavaliers

Congrats to the Cavs for making a return trip to the Convo. I am extremely proud of the three seniors, Tim Beard, Adam Bixler and Zach Johnson. These young men have had scroller coaster season in terms of wins/losses, adversity and I'm sure the joy of playing the game. Seniors define teams and unfor...

Re: Southeastern DII Sectional

The Southeastern Sectional probably has more parody than we have seen in the last 10 years. From the dominance of a few programs like Greenfield and Chilly to the coaches struggling to seed this year. It is an open Sectional. the games should be competitive and I would not bet on who goes to the CON...

Re: Chillicothe 38 Gallipolis 37

Tremendous effort by Gallia Friday night. As always it is treat to see Jottings. A true gentleman. I'm glad Zach and the upper classmen are hanging in there. This is definitely new territory for them in terms of the record. The second half of the year is here. Let's hope the system starts clicking, ...

Chillicothe's Zach Johnson will join the 1,000 point club this year barring injury. Zach has climbed the historical ladder at CHS in many statistical categories.

Boys Basketball - Middle School Looking for a game

Does anyone know of any schools that are short games this season. I'm helping a coach potentially secure another game. Home or away.

Pfloyd, Thanks for the update my friend. I love the hoops analogy. Despite adversity and setbacks, you have moved ahead in the 4th quarter. I also now another thing. In all of our scorebooks, you are all ready a winner. May God continue to Bless! After the tragedy in Connecticut, this is much welcom...

Re: Chillicothe Cavaliers

Bluecavs, Keep the faith my friend. The kids will get it figured out. There is a bunch of winners in that locker room. We allowed 2 guys to score all of 5 of Amanda's points tonight. We can do better than that. We also struggled offensively in stretches. I am proud of of the effort, but obviously no...

Re: Chillicothe Coach Gary Kellough Steps Down

Cavalier Nation: I have come out of the woodshed because I had to take a self imposed hiatus from the wonderful world of SEOP forums. My heart is still heavy due to the unexpected departure of one of the few friends I have in Coach K. The past month has been absolutely crazy and has finally reached ...

Gazette and WKKJ both report Meister is recommended and will be voted on by board tomorrow. This will be a formality. Good luck to the kids and the new program. Time to get them started. Our prayers are with the Ebert family at this time. What a wonderful man. I'm glad I got the pleasure to meet him. Also glad to know he has roots here in Ross County. He shared many a story about his time up here.

Re: Portsmouth Trojans Next Year

No disrespect to any of the other kids in the program, but the backcourt will be in good hands for the next few years. With Carter's knock down shooting ability and Sky Olivers handle, quickness and vision, the Trojans will be ok. I have seen Kyre play at least 7 times and he has a chance to be spec...

Re: Portsmouth vs. Cincinnati Summit Country Day - D3 Title

Congrats to the Trojan Nation on a great run this year. I truly enjoyed watching them over the past three days. It is great to see teams and young men you know playing at the highest level Ohio hoops has to offer. My observation of the game may be different than many others on here, but IMO, the gam...
