Re: Fairland @ Portsmouth who ya got???
Losing Daysha was indeed a big loss, but it's early in the season and the team is still making the adjustment of playing without her. They still are a very good team worthy of making a run to the Final 4. There are some things that need attention and focus, but Coaches Amy and Mike Hughes have been...

Re: Fairland @ Portsmouth who ya got???
The loss of Reid is huge for the trojans, that was the other scoring option. I don't believe Carter #5 can carry you if Allen is being contained. I think they all are a great defenders but offensively have limitations except for Allen #1, They really miss Reid, no depth either. Still very very tale...

Re: softball 2025
There is a catcher and pitcher at Jackson you can put on this list of returning studs. Gallia Academy #99 that plays pretty much any position on the field is probably right up there with Boggs. Probably the best player in the area is the SS from Ironton, but just like the girl from Gallia the team ...

Re: Wellston vs Wheelersbug
Wellston vs. Wheelersburg in the elite 8. The defending champions defeated a good Piketon team. Potts and the Rockets no hit Tuscarawas Valley 11/0. I think it is Potts eighth no-hitter of the season. Kudos to both teams for making it this far. Speaks well for our part of the state. Burg lost to We...

Jackson looking tough to beat…some good upcoming matchups I watched Jackson a couple times this year. Jackson has power and speed to go with their ace pitcher. The question can Taylor hold up pitching every game. She has pitched tons of innings since her freshman year high school ball and travel ba...

Re: Montgomery and Kayser the best duo in southeast ohio
Miller would have been a freshmen or sophomore when Gagai and Waginger were at Ironton. Spradlin might have been a freshmen or 8th grader. They were both very good as well. There have been so many great duo's honestly. Nick Morey and Klien at Belpre---Gagai and Waginger at Ironton---Aldridge and Wa...

Re: Montgomery and Kayser the best duo in southeast ohio
Those two are very good and deserve a ton of respect, but it's a giant leap to say they were better than Aldridge and Waginger (two D1 players), or Waginger and Gagai at Ironton (two D1 players). Miller spradlin burg both D1, a pretty good duo Yes they were. I'm not trying to come across as the Min...

Hands down. I know the SE district faithful always mention the few teams who have won the state as the “best” etc. idc who you are, South Webster in 06 wasn’t beating that LE team today. Oak hill in 09 wouldn’t even come close. What Bennett and Myles did today was what they’ve been doing for 3-4 ye...
