Re: Division III Boys Soccer Tournament schedule, scores, etc.
Most of the players @ Saint Joseph have played together since rec league. Some years we have better athletes than other years. But you will see them playing soccer, basketball, baseball and all the while participating in about every school activity and serving their Church. Great bunch of kids!

Re: D IV District Final: Peebles vs St. Joe
Might sting now, but if you would have told this group of young men at the beginning of the year they would play for the district title they would have been very happy. Congratulations St. Joseph on a great season and good luck to Peebles.

Re: Congrats to Fairfield!!!
OK, I'll bite. From what I saw, they were way too braggadocious! Going into the stands to celebrate after a regular season game (in Jan. at that), was a little too much. Even told fan beside me I would respect them more if they acted like they had been there before. Although many schools have transf...

Re: Fairfield 71 New Boston 55
This is why we play the games. If it were merely a matter of numbers you could run them through a computer and have a winner. It's strategy, chemistry, determination, and sometimes plain ol luck. Congratulations NB on a fine season.

Balanced scoring by the Flyers, that's hard to defend.

Re: St Joe vs Fed Hock District Semi’s
With only 24 boys does St Jude even have a baseball team? Yes we do. However, we don't schedule games through most of Holy Week so we can participate in religious activities. The week after Easter many go on a 10 day trip to Europe. We won SOC1 soccer, our first year in the conference. In the fall ...

Re: St Jude vs Fed Hock District Semi’s
Does St Jude recruit? Seems like all these catholic schools hold down their enrollment and then get decent athletes thus allowing them to win state title after state title against watered down competition. Ridiculous statement. We have 100 students 7-12. We hold our student athletes to a higher aca...

Re: St Joe vs Fed Hock District Semi’s
This is St. Joseph's first year in a conference in a long time. For years it was hard to find decent games because everyone else was in conference play at the end of the year. To finish second in the SOC 1 is impressive especially considering the team finishing first was a legit top 10 DIV all year ...

ISJ has proven they are battle tested winning some very close games lately. Grit and determination has gotten this team (with an OHSAA BBK enrollment of 24) to the Convo! Go Flyers!

Re: Ironton v Ironton St. Joseph
After a Junior High game where the girls played and then were cheerleaders for the boys some one told me, "I expected those girls to sell concessions and clean up, too. They do everything."mattash wrote: Sat Dec 28, 2019 8:06 pm To be so small how was st. Joe able to have both Volleyball and girls soccer ?

Re: Ironton v Ironton St. Joseph
Maybe they could do an annual "exhibition" game. Donations at the gate could benefit an agreed Ironton charity. Alumni game before the high school guys. Lots of give aways, hold a 3-point contest and party afterwards at the Knights.
