Re: Minford @ Valley SOC II Championship
Congratulations to both schools on a share of the title and an exciting game. Both schools exhibited teamwork and sportsmanship on the court tonight. The same couldnt be said about each school's fans. Valley posters on this site support their team through wins and losses and are supportive of other...

Re: Minford @ Valley SOC II Championship
Great game by both teams. Congrats to the Falcons on playing a great game and capturing half of the SOC 2 championship!! Great game by Rowe, Kelley, Alley, Gullett, Dalton, McCormick and Shepherd.

Re: Minford @ Valley SOC II Championship
It will be an exciting game tonight. These two teams have played each other tough for the last few years. Valley can taste the outright championship and Minford is hungry to get a share of the championship. I am thinking this will go down to the wire. Good luck to both teams!!

Re: Minford Basketball
If Shepard isn't the Falcons 3rd best player, I would love to know who is. I'm willing to bet if you told all 29 D3 coaches in the SE District they could take one Minford player not named Rowe or Kelly and add them to their roster for this tournament, a vast majority would take an out of shape Dill...

Re: Minford Basketball
Why in the world is their a discussion about a player that has not contributed to the success of this team all year? Maybe there should be a discussion about when they decided to insert him into the rotation (if there is such a thing at Minford) it disrupted the team chemistry, I mean after all sin...

Re: Minford Basketball
Having watched Minford 6 times now, there is no one on the bench that "should be starting". Period. Shepard is their 3rd best player, but he is far from basketball shape. Wow! 3rd best player? You are only right about one thing, he is very far from basketball shape. He is also playing sca...

Re: P.O.Y. CANDIDATES IN EACH CONFERENCE THROUGH MID-SEASON
Overreact much? "Jealous parent"? And now opinions aren't allowed unless you are a coach? Rowe, Kelley and Alley have all done a great job this year. All have stepped up on the nights/games that they needed to. Another senior on the bench that has stepped up when needed is Perry. He has c...

Re: Wheelersburg @ Valley 2/8 SOC Title on the line
Burg needs to pound it inside to Coleman and Lotspeich. Valley doesn't have the size underneath to contain them two. If Burg starts jacking up threes they will get blown out again. They are just a fair three point shooting team. Also, I think Holden needs to start shooting more. He has the talent t...

Re: Minford Basketball
Minford will not make it as far as they want to go if they don't start playing defense. No effort on defense is killing them. There's no way that SW should be as close as they were to Minford. (No offense SW). Minford is bigger, stronger, and more athletic. But, since they don't play hard on the de...

Re: Minford Basketball
If the Falcons are gonna make a run at the tourney they need to involve more players from the bench and start rebounding. It is frustrating having one of the bigger teams in the SOC 2 and get out rebounded by smaller teams. More shooters need to get involved, play tougher defense, and break the pres...

Good win for Burg, but definitely no POY candidates on the roster.eyeswideopen wrote:With Wheelersburg beating the Falcons Saturday night and putting themselves in a very good position for the SOC running at this point in the season maybe the player of the year is on the Wheelersburg team.

Re: P.O.Y. CANDIDATES IN EACH CONFERENCE THROUGH MID-SEASON
You are correct, Rowe did get his 1,000th point, but I would say Kelley could be the leading scorer as he has carried alot of the scoring load this year and Alley is the leading rebounder. Alot of credit to these three seniors who are getting the job done for the Falcons this year. First off, you a...

Re: P.O.Y. CANDIDATES IN EACH CONFERENCE THROUGH MID-SEASON
I am kind of surprised no one has mentioned Shane Zimmerman from South Webster. He has achieved his 1,000th point as a junior. Rowe, Kelley, and Rolfe are a toss up in the SOC 2.

Re: Officials at Albany Alexander 12/12
Alexander did outplay Minford and Im not suggesting that Minford would have won but it looks bad when the more physical team- Alexander shoots 30 foul shots and Minford shoots 13 then they don't give the Alexander coach a T for the way he acted. Minford was fouling to stop the clock for the last fo...

Re: SOC1/SOC2 Predictions
I went and seen Minford play Brandon Rowe and Jacob Perry didn't contribute to anything! I don't even think Perry got off the bench. The player everyone has to look out for is Trey Kelly he's an absolute beast! Wow! This is the first time I have heard Perry's name attached to basketball since his i...
