Re: State finals attendance down again
It should go back to Stark County where it belongs. Friendlier venues and the city/cities care about the playoffs. In Columbus the championships is just another event. It is not the event the entire city and area is talking about or preparing for. The reason they are playing the games is for a State...

Re: SOC Previews
Wheelersburg will eventually be OK. It looked like they just need some time in the Gym. I was more impressed with the Eastern squad. A couple solid sophomores and a couple decent athletes on the wings. They will be a solid team as well.

Re: DV Region 19 Predictions
Wheelersburg will continue to be a power in southern Ohio as long as the Region is set up the way it is. Their ability to win the Region will depend on the re-alignment of the Region. If Columbus area Division V teams are re-assigned to this Region, it will go back to being a difficult division to w...

Re: [=== SOC1 (2016-17) ===] -- Schedule/Results/Standings/More
Is there any truth to the rumors that some key players in the SOC - I are nursing injuries? I heard that both the Ninze kid (Clay) and Turner kid (ND) have some type of injury. Anybody know anything about this?

Re: SOC II Basketball Outlook
I think it is Burg's title to lose but do not sleep on South Webster and Oak Hill. The S.W. coach (Fenten?) is one of the better young coaches in southern Ohio and Persin is one of the best older coaches. Overall I think Burg's length will cause a lot of problems for SOC teams.

MD,
Every one of the comments were in response to statements made by Wheelersburg fans leading up to this game. A regional runner-up is a great year but if you dish it out .... you have to be able to take it. I have not read anything that is out of line.

I am surprised with the outcome of this game but I shouldn't be. Smash-mouth football will beat the spread (finesse) 9 out of 10 times. Finesse teams will put up huge numbers and their fans like that but beating a physical team doesn't happen very often.

Re: Region 19 #3 Coshocton (11-1) @ #1 Wheelersburg (12-0)
Wheelersburg success the next couple years will be determined by the realignment of the Regions. Next year is the new 2-year cycle for play-off teams. If Hartley stays in Division IV and no private schools or Columbus area schools are added to the region, Wheelersburg will continue to play for the t...
