Interesting. I could see a 4 team scrimmage but 3 teams? I take those results with a grain of salt, b/c that's an odd way to do a game. How can a team get into a rhythm only having to play one quarter and then have to sit out a quarter only to go back in? But whatever works for them?

Was the scrimmage against West Portsmouth or Westfall this past Friday night? I know Ironton used to have their Jamboree game against West Portsmouth, but I'm hearing conflicting reports that Ironton played Westfall (SVC) Pickway county; Willliamsport, Ohio.

The Pirates have many things to work on before next week, but I've seen years where I think they'll be just mediocre and they end up thrashing their schedule. Russell came to play the first half and had success up the middle and on the sweeps. Burg's OL/DL lines both need work. Not sure if both vars...

Columbus Bishop Watterson is a great program. CBW 2010 D III State Champs, and they were beat by Jackson in the Regional Semi 14-0, so solid program to have on schedule. . That's heading in the right direction. As far as the Non Conf schedule: I doubt Ironton could even go 2-3 in the SOCII this year...
