Re: Minford 2003

I am a huge Minford supporter but I dont think Hockett is D1 Material. Have you really watched D linemen/Linebackers that went on to D1 play in high school? They absolutely ship wrecked anyone that lined up on the other side of them. Yes Ethan is a big ole boy, and I think that he can play at the ne...

Re: Zane Trace at Minford (Opener)

I agree a ton of potential......but they need to get the sticks out. They didnt hit the ball very well at all against Zane Trace, but it looks like they hit way better last night against Huntington Ross even though I didnt get to watch that one.

Re: Zane Trace at Minford (Opener)

Yeah that actually is the case....they may have lost 2 seniors, but they have more than 2 new starters. So that leaves a few kids that didnt come out to play this year I assume? Michael Martin, Cody Brown, Robby Matheny and another kid that I appologize because I dont know his name didnt start last ...

Re: Zane Trace at Minford (Opener)

I think Minford looked tentative the first 4 innings. They really were shocked that ZT scored 5 runs in the 1st on them, several runs coming from errors and easy hit balls that will be routine plays later in the year. It is hard to guage a team on their opening game, but both teams should have a sol...

Re: Zane Trace at Minford (Opener)

Minford has a very solid team this year, and I am sure that ZT will be loaded again this year after making a strong run in the tourney last year.

Should be a great game. I am praying that the rains hold off at least until 9pm!

Re: Josh Esque (The Best Ever)

he can hit, field and pitch better than anyone in the region Come on now mcstephen10. Sorry, havent heard of him. Saw SP play 2 times last year, didnt see anyone on the team that could throw near as hard or have the placement of pitches even comparable to a kid from Minford and a couple kids from B...

Re: Minford @ Portsmouth scrimage 3/25/08

I can see a high school senior gaining 3-4 MPH on his fastball, especially with the pitching instruction that he is fortunate to have aroundh him. So that would put him hitting 90 MPH on his high end fastballs. But I dont really think he is going to be consistently clocked at anything over 85 IMO. R...

Re: Minford 2008

That is what scrimmage games are all about....working the rust out and getting ready for the regular season games. I agree that Coach Martin has done one heck of a job on the field and the baseball complex overall. I am still amazed how he gets the athletic department to spend the money. When I play...

Re: Prayers for Coach Ron Allen

Any update on how Ron Allen is doing in his recovery?

Is he going to be coaching this year at Zane Trace?

I would have thought Farmer would have ended up playing in a bigger division in college than Mt Vernon, or possibly getting drafted out of high school. In junior high and his first couple years in High School he had all the stuff. He threw hard, had good off speed pitches and good location. He is on...

I see Minford taking the SOC crown this year.

The games between them and the Burg should be something to watch this year!

I believe they said on JJHUDDLE that he was doing well and would be ready for pitchers and catchers practice next month.

He is a tremendous coach and has built quite a good program at Zane Trace. It helps that he is from Minford too

Burg should have a phenominal team. I think that in the SOC Minford will give them fits. I believe the SOC will come down to the winner of the 2 Minford vs Burg ballgames. Both are returning tremendous talent both on the mound, in the field and at the plate. I wouldnt be suprised if they both go unb...

SOC Baseball 08

Which teams look strong, what are the early projections? I know that Wheelersburg has a fine team coming out again this year. 5-6 superb players that are Juniors and Seniors. Minford should be solid with a ton of Juniors and Seniors. Cook and Farmer lead the way on the mound. Last year they put toge...

I can promise you one thing......I was listening to Coach Crabtree during the Valley game on Valley's sidelines and I am sure he would rather have this kid on his side of the ball. The kid is not very big, not super stout, but he plays with a big heart. That is what I like about him and what stands ...

Cant wait for the game Friday night. Minford has looked stronger and stronger on offense each week. They have also looked great on D the past 3 games. Should be a knock down drag out.... I take Minford in a close one......21-14. I know there are alot of Minford and Burg fans that would like a rematc...
