We here in SE Ohio have been spoiled from day one. No other district has been holding these two, three, four and even six game sessions for the $5 price! I would say it has something to do with the crowd size lately, they seem to be getting larger.

I've never known the OHSAA to be "flexible" in their rules. I would be amazed if they allowed it "because" of numbers. Too late now anyway, the games are over.

Looks like Vinton and Alex have taken the high road.

well

There is ONLY one OHSAA Tournament! Those guidelines, are pretty clear, eligibility is limited to 90 quarters and ONE post season tournament, and to maintain OHSAA eligibility there are limits on "non" OHSAA events you can participate in and a team basketball tournament would not be one of...

Ohio University also had one of the Nations top kickers last year. There is one, and there are actually one or two more out there in the past twenty years. But do you really think the local University should be 100%? My statement was in the original post, was OHIO University has been on the doorstep...

Kids capable?

O.K. Rope, I will give you a challenge. Tell me a kid who was recruited by a Divison I school as a SCHOLARSHIP ATHLETE that was not recruited by Ohio University as a SCHOLARSHIP ATHLETE. Do not give me what your "untrained" eye calls talent. Because I can tell you from personal experience ...

I've known many a grad assistant that after two years has little academic credit. And the NCAA has limits on the number of Graduate Assistant Coaches that a program can have, and that number is less than seven. Key word here is "Coaches". Please refer to NCAA Bylaw 11.7.2. where it clearly...

Mister B: What was your point about money to begin with. I simply pointed out that Paul was appointed to a GA position right before Josh declared he was going to WVU. Never brought money into the picture. Then you state they don't get paid, which they do, and then you change your line again. Yes, I ...

I have seen Westfall a couple of times, and they are athletic! I would say they should have the advantage here, but Minford has been to the Districts the past couple of years.

Sorry

I have been down this road with numerous kids on both sides of the street, and not once did I deal with a coach who kept calling when they were told that the kid was off the market. So in my experience, yes they do quit.
