I certainly appreciate the input. Initially, I was going to go with a varsity race and an open race due to race restrictions of 150 runners. Using that number, the most teams you could have in a race would be 21. As a meet director, you have to presume each team could conceivably have seven runners....

Is it me, or are the results from 2014 missing?

A group of cross country junkies grading courses is a great idea...lol...I would sign up for that job! Ohio's Milesplit site used to have a course rating system...it was based off of times from the races, but there have been a few changes in webmasters and content over the past couple of years, I do...

Just be careful comparing teams strictly on time...there were a couple of extremely fast courses last year in which runners never came close to those times at the district meet or regional meets. Curious as to why the change of date? The current date seemed to work well...it was a very competitive meet for Southeastern Ohio.

Remember...qualifiers are based off of the district count from the previous year. While the SE may have 39 girls teams listed, how many of those schools fielded full teams last year? That would be the determining factor.

Seriously, give Meigs credit, Minford actually only had ONE earned run...They gave a hit that was technically an error when the right fielder missed it, thats 2 of your runs right there. Meigs played ball and got the win, made plays when they needed to. That's what counts. Don't be sore losers!!!

Thanks. Meigs program has improved since the beginning of the 2015 campaign. I think they have won 13 in a row since last defeat and are 18-6 overall. We have matured throughout the season and have formed a bond, these boys have a huger built up in them and are doing what it takes to keep winning.....

Congrats to Meigs. You have to wonder if going 12 innings in a game like this takes a toll on the pitching available for the next matchup. Meigs really doesn't have an Ace, Christian Mattox who pitched and shut Jackson down and then pitched the last 4 last night only seen about 12-14 Innings all ye...

On a side note.....the bottom half of the district bracket saw ALL of the low seeds get upset in the first 2 rounds. #5 Sheridan and #7 Meigs will fight it out for the bottom half of the bracket. The winner of the Minford/Logan Elm game should be a very big favorite in the District Championship gam...
