Re: Notre Dame Football: An Evening With the Coaches 3/8/08
That's really neat. Alot of schools should do this. Snuffy will be a great host. He's a trip and great for southern ohio football.

Re: Who Will Win The Soc II In 2008?????
Alot of the speed and athletes that hurt West last year (Cook, Spradlin, Jenkins, Conley, Stamper, Riepenhoff) are gone. I know Burg had a very good soph class, but its hard to replace athletes and especially experience like that. We lost 4 guys that played. If you look at the Sophs through Seniors ...

Re: Ironton Out Of SEOAL?
I couldn't see how a whole lot of good could come out of West playing Ironton right now in football. There seemed to be enough tension with Rock Hill last year. Could you imagine Ironton?

Re: Who Will Win The Soc II In 2008?????
Its hard to argue with Wheelersburg until someone beats them consistantly. I don't like it, but facts are facts. I think both West and Minford are moving in the right direction and are tightening the gap. I believe Waverly may take a step or two back just based on the amount of contributing seniors ...

Re: WHEELERSBURG'S NEW FOOTBALL COACH
Until Lewis left, I had never heard of this guy. Any background on him? What did he coach this year? Throw-back coach or wide open? Just curious

I think Dale may have the opportunity to punt in college. His stats are good, he's big and athletic enough to make a tackle if he has to, and he's still raw. If he would go to some kicking camps and work a little on his technique, he would be awsome. Ethan is a good kicker. I've seen him make severa...

From reading on here and JJ's the last couple years it didn't seem alot of the Burg fans agreed with alot of Lewis's descisions. Unless someone really good is found again, I believe Burg fans are really gonna look back in a few years and realize just how good this guy was. I thought he got the best ...

I know what you mean, both teams played flat considering what was on the line. What it and most of our games came down to was getting a push up front and defending the run. Our O and D lines just weren't strong enough. That will be alot different this year. A senior to be told me earlier today what ...

I understand what your saying that West needs to prove something. But remember now how good of a team you had last year and we were tied at the half and really gave you a run with a bunch of sophs and juniors. We lost like 4 starters on both sides of the ball and our freshman class was outstanding. ...

I'll agree on the west corners. I'll put Perry up against anyone. As for a linebacker. Pendelton is gonna be a great one. As good of instincts and IQ of the game as any I've watched. His family eats and sleeps football and his brother wasn't bad either. If he stays healthy I think he'll be first tea...

one thing that I would like to see is a better rotation at the D-line positions. I thought that was a real key in wheelersburg's success this year. They're D-line for the most part only played defense and they were fresh the entire game. They were a bit undersized and got pushed around a bit at the ...

Heck let them jump to the SOC I and the 5 of you all, i.e., Waverly D4, Portsmouth West D5, Portsmouth D4, Wheelersburg D5, Ironton D4 and add a Rock Hill D4 from the OVC and you got a pretty powerhouse league on the River. ARMY [/b][/color] That would be a really tough league. No gimmies there. He...

Minford had a good year and they may have it going. They have alot of good athletes at Minford as you can tell by their other sports. They've shown flashes of brilliance in the past. Daniel's may make them into a consistant winner. One great senior class doesn't make a winner, so will see how they do.

It's exciting isn't it. Were gonna be ready by August. Region 19 and the SOC II better be ready as West is a contender again. I think Tripletts awoke a sleeping giant. If people don't think the man can build a program, go watch the basketball team. I haven't seen a West team play with that much disi...

I don't understand why the SOC would not want Ironton or Portsmouth in that league. In the past, Ironton and Portsmouth were much larger than the SOC schools, so that is totally understandable as to why they did not want them back then. However, Ironton and Portsmouth are no longer larger than the ...

I agree. I think Dunham has earned an opportunity. I know they want teachers to coach, but considering the situation, why change now. I know Coach Tripplett has workouts to monitor for Football, so maybe he doesn't want to. One reason to wait till after the season is possibly on Travis Bradford at E...
