Not sure how wet the field will be with the rain we have got. If it's a sloppy and a scrappy game I think burg has advantage. If it's not to bad and Minford can spread out and pass around burg for the second time this year, Minford wins and clinches the Gold Ball.

Was Hughes out against West on Tuesday? 1-0 result seems odd for Burg? Interesting stat about the first half of SOC 2 play. 5 games decided by 1 goal and 4 games were 1-0. Minford 2 Waverly 1

After one official tried to clear the stands before resuming play because a fan yelled something, Minford scored 2 goals in the final 8 minutes to win. One Minford fan was ejected but the ref wasn't able to clear the stands.

Anyone ever seen this before?

#10 Hughes was carried off with an injury. That's a huge blow if he is out a few weeks.

Minford still can't score!! What's the problem?

Waverly at Burg tonight. Is this the game that gets burg some momentum for the second half of the season? Another if you lose, your SOC hopes may be over early.
Waverly wasn't fast enough to contain Northwest speed so I don't see them stopping Hughes tonight.

I really thought Northwest would have won or been closer to at least a tie. How did the game go if anyone was there?

Webster won 1-0 in a hard fought game. Webster looked like the better team but Minford had chances to score late. Would like to see them in the tournament!

Great goal by Blevins and a great career for the speedy forward. They've got a great group of kids and it's fun to watch them play.

Big game for both Northwest and Wheelersburg today. Loser may be out of the SOC talk and winner is right up there putting pressure on Minford.

Seems like these are the two best teams in the SOC. This game doesn't mean anything for SOC play but does count for tournament seeding etc.

Webster will come ready to play and wanting to win this match. Can Minford D hold them scoreless again? I don't think so.

Athens has a good team but lack a good scorer up top.

The lady pirates really spread the field and passed the ball well. Coach Jarvis is doing a great job with the program. Hard to believe it is only the 3rd season for the girls program.

After watching Minford and seeing the scores from South Point and Northwest games I don't think Minford can score 2 goals playing at Burg.

It sure was hard to watch that game last week. We can talk about the mistakes that were made and how it's the little things that can be fixed. Getting your players back to game speed and injury free has to be the goal of this game. I seem them getting a 2-0 win coming in strong and well rested.

Seems like burg hasn't played in forever. This will be a good game to play going into SOC play. Good luck burg!
