Re: Baseball soc 2

That’s a good run down as well. But as someone who follows Valley, I think Rideout would be the other pitcher besides Powell. He has pitched and played really well the last two years. That’s not discounting McNeil at all. Rideout has been a good player for two years. They also return a top notch ca...

Re: SOC

How will it stack up this year in both divisions? You mean all 3 divisions Soc1 ND Green Clay NB East ISJ SOC2 South Gallia Symmes Valley Eastern NW Western Oak Hill Soc 3 Minford Burg SW Waverly West Valley Valley will be extremely young this year, as their freshman class is a special group. I ful...

Re: DIV - Southeast District Tournament

We’ll be back. Good luck next year, hopefully your jeeps can start backing up your big mouth. As a Valley fan, I enjoy reading the post from Swank. Compassionate about his team, but is always the first to eat his crow when he’s wrong. Trolls are what ruin this site, not friendly competitive trash t...

Re: Your School's Most Memorable Winning Shot In Tournament Play

2014 - Valley's Chris Flowers buries a 3 to send the Indians to the Regionals and eliminate the Portsmouth Trojans. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JdXtLb5uGBs I didn't see you after that game, but I have never seen someone so excited as you were in 2010 when Utley buried the 3 against Portsmouth a...

Luke Keller up for FCS stud of the week

Valley alumni and Morehead State LB Luke Keller is in the running for FCS stud of the week on Hero sports website. Luke recorded 14 tackles, 2 sacks, 4.5 tfl, and 1 pass deflection last week as MSU beat Drake in triple OT. If you haven't had the chance to read Luke's story that's making its way arou...

Re: SOC-I, SOC-II, thoughts, predictions

I am definitely inclined to say Minford, it makes so much sense that'd it's crazy not to pick them. HOWEVER, valley I think will surprise because of the athleticism they bring! They probably won't be as disciplined or true "basketball" players like the past two years, but Rolfe alone...wi...

I was not at the game but by the looks of the score I would say the Tiger's hitting/ Valley's pitching is what beat them. Who pitched for both teams? And who hit the HR?

Re: Jackson Sectional

Not a big fan of coaches who plan it all out and intentionally screw another school and their kids. People can say what they want about looking out for your team, but coaches are supposed to do the right thing. For teams to use their conference to set up the draw the way they want is shady......but...

Re: Jackson Sectional

I thought Burg and Oak Hill was in the Waverly sectional ? Did they used to be ? We (Valley) were in the Waverly when I played in the late 90's/early 2000's. I don't remember when we left (I know it was post 2004), but at that point neither of those teams were at Waverly. I believe Valleys last yea...

Re: Lucasville Valley @ Minford

I may catch fury for this, but I know there are people who agree with me....but Shoemaker was outcoached by Rolfe tonight. I think Minford has the better talent player for player, but Valley just flat out hustles there butts off. There were many instances where Mknford would be watching the ball ro...

Re: Wednesday, Apr. 25 results

I was told Valley scored 8 runs in the top of the 7th with 2 outs to beat Waverly 9-6...valley batter struck out with 2 outs but catcher dropped the ball and then just tossed the ball back to the mound. The batter made it to first and that's when valley started their 8 run rally. Waverly loaded the b...

Re: 2012 SOC II Champs?

I had heard from another player that Dwyer will be suspended 1 game for every game he missed. I think he missed 5 games so he will be out a total of 10 games! Things could have changed but that's what I heard a few weeks ago

Does anyone know if our area has ever had an athlete get Ohio Player of the year football and then have another athlete get Ohio POY in basketball in the same year? That's a great accomplishment for our area and those two young men!! Congrats to everyone on this list!
