Re: Wheelersburg Basketball 2009-2010
Who????? Oak Hill(building a program under Norm) Northwest(This year, I feel they are going to challenge burg with that senior class and young players coming back with experience, Leslie, Crabtree, Frantz, etc) Minford(Shoemaker and company are going to turn the corner, with those strong junior hig...

Re: 2009-2010 OHSAA Winter Sports Divisional Breakdowns
Wow! How much do you think that will hurt Oak Hill's chances of making it very far in the tournament this year? I think its hurt there chances quite a bit. They lost quite a bit from this past years team. I also think that if they had been in D3 last year they wouldn't have won the state and probab...

Re: Wheelersburg Summer League
I believe that East, Rock Hill, Manchester, and Wheelersburg has a couple teams in there. There may be more but I can't remember them.

Re: BIG GAME!! *Valley @ Wheelersburg*
I think the last game was a wake up call for Wheelersburg and I think there will be a different outcome this time around.
Re: Soc II predictions?
Nobody could really get a good look at Wheelersburg from the West game last year. The field was in horrible condition from the rain which didn't play into Wheelersburg's favor. With the field being like it was none of Wheelersburg's kids could cut off blocks or make people miss and those were the tw...

Re: Burg Softball
;-) All right, after reading that, all I could think of was that we should drop JV baseball because I watched them beat up on a lot of other teams last year. Obviously having a JV baseball team does nothing to help out the varsity anyway. And they should get plenty of time playing on the varsity on...

Re: Burg Softball
Here's the way i see it. It hasn't hurt Wheelersburg not to have a JV team in the last 8 years so why start now. It hasn't stopped the girls from coming out for the team either. If it aint broke don't fix it. Those girls who sit in the dugout to get quite a bit of playing time throughout the season.

Re: Burg Softball
Not quite correct. All of the schools across the river (KY) have JV teams, due to the fact they can play jr. high kids. It's not much of an inconvenience to travel to Greenup Co., Raceland, Russel, etc. to play. All of those "logisitical problems" are overcome by the baseball teams in our...

Re: Burg Softball
The thing with having a JV team is trying to find teams to play. I think there is maybe one team in southern ohio that has a JV team and that is Waverly. If you do find teams you are going to have to travel and on top of that you are going to have to try to schedule everything around varsiry games a...

Re: Oak Hill Vs. Waterford
I think that Oak Hills zone defense will push Cunningham out away from the basket. Their length will affect Waterfords shots from outside. Waterford will have to contain Ondrea, as he can go off at any minute. The Oakes are big and can play physical, from what I saw, DJ doesnt handle physical play ...

Re: Oak Hill Vs. Waterford
Most asinine thing ever posted on PREPS: You put Wheelersburg, Valley , Minford, or Waverly in D4 they would be playing in the Districts Finals. Well, frakkin' duh!!! because then they would be D3 teams playing in D4! As a wise old coach once said to me, "... and if your aunt had balls, she wo...

Re: Oak Hill Vs. Waterford
I think Oak Hills challenging schedule will get them through this one. Cunningham will get his but I think Oak Hill takes what really matters here..the win. Those SOC teams you talk about are in D3 and D2 the only ones in D4 are Oak Hill and Webster. You put Wheelersburg, Valley , Minford, or Waver...

Waterford isn't that great, they have lost to Southern and Trimble. I think Oak Hills challenging schedule will get them through this one. Re: Oak Hill vs. Fairfield---District Semi-Final
Yea i agree the SHL isn't a power house by any means. Don't get me wrong North Adams is a good team but in my opinion Oak Hill is a better team. Oak Hill has played tougher teams.

Re: Oak Hill vs. Fairfield---District Semi-Final
Oak Hill is really good. They could beat North Adams and Peebles easily. From the looks of it I would say they would handle Mclain pretty well. Fairfield won't be able to handle the Hale kid he's to big and plays extremely well around the basket. If Oak Hill continues to play like they have in the ...
