Re: Open Jobs
Who got the Minford job? Todd Perdas. Former Fairland girls and Lake Erie College assistant coach. Assistant for four years under Robin Hagen-Smith at Shawnee. South Webster alumni and assistant coach there as well. Are you wanting a supplemental contract at Minford? You’re over in the football for...

Re: Shawnee State Football
I think that’s good for the university. Also likely makes the dream a little close for a handful of guys from the area. I’d say in a given year there’s on average 2-3 that could play at that level.
Makes basketball more attractive too.

Re: Minford coaching job
Any idea on deadline applications? Unless someone in the know or close decides to hop on good old seops and post, our best chance for information is probably someone sitting in the parking lot with binoculars on interview day. None of these are happening. Anyone interested would be able to do a Sun...

Re: Minford coaching job
Travis was the varsity assistant. He coached at East, West, assistant under Ater at Burg when they were in the regional finals back to back years. He has been in the game for quite awhile. If he applies, then this is the guy. If I remember right, he was an assistant at Minford under John Strickland...

Re: Minford coaching job
Definitely a hot destination. Coming off of the final 4 run, while losing a lot of talent there still is plenty of it in minford. Have been hearing of two alumni’s giving it a thought of putting in for the job. Kyle Pertueset and Matthew Gullett What about the Burg assistant that is a Falcon alumni...

Re: Minford coaching job
Have to think Minford alum Kyle Pertuset at least gives it some consideration. He’s only a year in at Lynchburg-Clay after a few years at Cambridge, but it’s a good job that may not come open for several years depending on who ends up in the role. I have to think the opportunity to bring in all of y...

Re: Ironton Head Coach Opening
That’s the rumor. That he will apply for Superintendent job and if he gets it then he will coach. Makes sense from that standpoint. Don’t see it happening if he doesn’t move up though. Well that changes everything. If he wants to be a superintendent then Ironton is as good of place as any and those...

Can’t we just enjoy them for what they were?
They were two pillars of a group that has been a lot of fun to cheer for.

Re: Ironton Head Coach Opening
Hearing Pendletons looking and working on Shoemaker. Just rumor, but that’s the talk. He always was pro football with his son playing. Is there a teacher or admin job for him? I know someone said he works at Scioto County’s vocational school. Not sure his position He’s the principal at the CTC. Tha...

Re: Minford vs. Lutheran East
What a season!
This one will sting, mainly because on this afternoon Minford was good enough to win but just didn’t make enough plays.
Hard off to this team and all they’ve accomplished.

Re: Minford vs. Lutheran East
Are my Falcons underdogs? Sure. My favorite thing about basketball though is the upset. If Minford is hitting shots, gets some rebounds, they can be in there at the end. I think they have the talent to play at a higher level than we’ve seen so far in this run, now is the time to put it all together ...

3/7/25 Minford v Garaway @ Convo Regional Semi-Final
Minford got the convo monkey off their back last week and continues their march forward. Against ZT Falcons we’re 1/11 from three, they will need a few more I feel this week. Garaway is listed as 18-6 and comes off a one point win in the district final. I can’t find a roster with any information. Wa...

Re: Minford v Zane Trace
Congratulations Falcons!
Big props to Jackson Shoemaker on making the only three at a key moment. ZT was making a run with momentum but his trey extinguished that!
What a fun team to watch, glad we get to do it at least one more time.

If any of those involved think that was a fight, I hope they never find themselves in a fight.
I’ve seen more violence and aggression in a day care room than whatever that was.

Re: Names of high school courts/gymnasiums
You may be right but I hope not.
Fortunately it’s been a while since they were way down, but seems like even during down years the home side fills up quick. It just wasn’t big enough from the start, imo.
