Re: How "homegrown" is Wheelersburg football really?
Nope. Here’s the site where you can search any high school in the state and see its ranking. Burg is 5 stars according to the state of Ohio, but kudos to you for stepping up over and over again despite always being wrong. https://reportcard.education.ohio.gov/ Ehh. Idk. I'm reluctant. lol Idk lol. ...

I guess I feel like lil sister can scream at the top of her lungs until she turns blue. She can wear her pirate hat and shake her jugs. Lmao. But she is still going to ALWAYS be lil sis.

Re: How "homegrown" is Wheelersburg football really?
That because IHS typically has many transfers that move in just for football. I low balled it with 7 on the team for any given year, but since that seemed to offend you, let’s pretend IHS has zero kids that have moved in to play football. Let’s pretend Perkins, Keyes, Felder, Copas, Thacker, Pittma...

Re: How "homegrown" is Wheelersburg football really?
Let it be known everyone: if you add a bunch of transfers for Ironton, and none for Wheelersburg, then the numbers are much different. Thanks for the math. That because IHS typically has many transfers that move in just for football. I low balled it with 7 on the team for any given year, but since ...

Re: Burg releases their 24 schedule: projecting the regular season.
I'm surprised it took him this long to apply for a position somewhere else! Can't blame him for wanting to go to a bigger school but why be so secretive about it and the sad thing is when he leaves and they bring in a coach that can't bring in kids like he has, where will that leave Ironton then? T...

Re: Burg releases their 24 schedule: projecting the regular season.
I agree and I blocked him months ago. Do yourself a favor and do the same. He adds nothing to any discussion he’s in The truth hurts. The people on here who try to equate irontons football program and burgs football program as similar or equal, are operating on emotion and a diluted perception beca...

Re: Ironton 8th Grader Luca Silva D1 Offers (2)
It was up North when I worked at AK Steel in Mansfield, OH Lol makes more sense. Mansfield is no better than southern Ohio. Actually more poverty and lower per capita income than Burg. As for “fast lanes”, it has route 30 which is equivalent to 52. Now if you like crime and bad schools, Mansfield i...

Re: Burg releases their 24 schedule: projecting the regular season.
And burgs so called program with all of the seops touted "superior coaching and culture" has only made it beyond their region like 3 times in the last 30 years. = that is pitiful on its own but it goes even deeper. Pendletons teams head to head have gotten the best of Woodards teams. And ...

Re: Burg releases their 24 schedule: projecting the regular season.
Great post bfan99. Ironton still has more homegrown talent than the burg...and probably always will. wheelersburg will always be our jealous little sibling. Take away the Vass years, and it's embarrassing. Irontons program would still be about the same level as the vass yrs without all the recruits...

Re: Burg releases their 24 schedule: projecting the regular season.
5-5 would get all the burg recruiters fired. Burgs NIL just took a hit. $100,000 just used for a new softball field for the 2 time defending champs. You win at the burg your rewarded. 6-4, 7-3 doesn’t cut it at the burg. Burgs a state power softball school now. Burg NIL 😂 might be the funniest thin...

Re: Burg releases their 24 schedule: projecting the regular season.
4 of the losses i projected = ironton jackson Cincy and Prep are more than likely. The only so called upset i projected for burg is vs P west and its barely an upset cause West is only a cpl seasons removed from beating burg and winning the soc. 5 - 5 is likely. This is what burg football is now. 5...
