Im really surprised this hasn't happened before this year. Seems like there is always some kind of drama going on at Northwest.

Yes it would be. It was always nice having it in the Portsmouth Daily Times back in the day.

Re: 2025-2026 Girls SEO Basketball

Tonight the lady Jeeps faced South Gallia the Jeeps ended up winning by 10+. The Claxon girls had a combined 31, which was impressive considering one is a Freshman. The Jeeps have 5 freshman all who get much playing time. Which is good considering they will all improve and has 4 years to do. In the...

Re: SOC

Other than their guards being a year older how are they going to be better? Didn't they lose Vice? That's a ton of size lost, and a good player. Where did the transfer come in from? I just can't see them winning the league unless the guards take a huge leap. They'll all be a year older. Got everyon...

Re: SOC

In SOC II I wouldn't count out Northwest. They have a chance to be pretty good. Definitely be better than last year. They have really good size and the guards will be a year older. They had a move in that's supposed to be a pretty good player. I wouldn't be surprised if they win the league.

Re: Portsmouth to the SOC3 2027

Calling it now. Symmes Valley to the OVC. They are probably tired of having to drive everywhere for games (Western, Eastern, Northwest). Plus they would fit right in with just about every other sport besides football. I could see them competing for championships in baseball and softball. Basketball...

Re: Minford coaching job

Definitely a hot destination. Coming off of the final 4 run, while losing a lot of talent there still is plenty of it in minford. Have been hearing of two alumni’s giving it a thought of putting in for the job. Kyle Pertueset and Matthew Gullett What about the Burg assistant that is a Falcon alumni...

Re: Montgomery and Kayser the best duo in southeast ohio

Hands down. I know the SE district faithful always mention the few teams who have won the state as the “best” etc. idc who you are, South Webster in 06 wasn’t beating that LE team today. Oak hill in 09 wouldn’t even come close. What Bennett and Myles did today was what they’ve been doing for 3-4 ye...

Re: Best Player of all time

I know this thread is whatever, but the fact that folks are talking recently and nobody mentioned Myles Montgomery is nuts. He was probably passed this year by his own classmate in Kayser, but Myles scored 2100+ points for a reason and had 33 tonight in his last game against Lutheran East, who flat...

OHSAA always drops the ball.
Where should this game be played? Maybe should play it at Waverly? That would be fair and a great location.
Somewhere in Columbus.
