Playing Warren could be at the direction of the athletic director anyway and not the head coach. It’s not like Warren has been a dominant program of any sort the last ten years so to give them up for the reasons you state will leave people scratching their head. It’s a shame they haven’t named a coach yet. Every day those kids aren’t working in the weight room is just one more day they are behind their competition.

Adams at Williamstown would be a great head coach. Jason Gandee at Warren, Edgell at Warren, Jeff Freeland, Mike Baker, Tim Baker. There are plenty of Belpre alum out there to turn that program around. Just depends on how bad they want to be a head coach.

How did Warren do against Marietta?

Warren has beaten the teams this season they matched up to evenly and lost to the teams they didn’t. They played Morgan and Logan good enough to win but 3-4 plays in each game cost them. Williamstown is good but they haven’t played anyone capable of challenging them. Fort Frye has. Schedule strength shows this late in the season. No way Fort loses 2 at home this year.

Warren is fully healthy for the first time all season. Kids are motivated, playing together and want a chance at making the playoffs (there’s actually a slim hope with a win). Marietta is always a good game. Good to see rivalry games played last on the schedule. Warren 28 Marietta 14.
