Re: OHSAA tournament
Take the 64 biggest schools according to competitive balance into a 5th division, then split the rest of the schools into 4 divisions that continues being played as the current 4 divisions on the same schedules, but with 16 schools less in each division. Let the 64 teams play 2 extra regular season...

3. Balanced Tournament (near equal) One thing I noticed (using D4 as an example) is although there are 200 teams in the state for Division 4, the way the regionals are split up are: 45 teams - Bowling Green 48 Teams - Kettering 51 Teams - Canton 56 Teams - Athens (before Village Academy removed) Ad...

Re: OHSAA tournament
2. Harbin Points for Basketball I notice how some teams feel like they were cheated because sectionals have majority teams are from a conference and positions their conference better than the rest of the sectional, or where it seems like some sectionals are only based on record and not strength of s...

Re: OHSAA tournament
I would like OHSAA to consider a few ideas in my opinion (3 in total, will be posted separartely). Feel free to tell me what you think. 1. Divisions One proposal I think OHSAA divisions should consider looks a little like their football (not as many divisions obviously), but either add a 5th divisio...

Re: FAC Expansion?
Since the FAC are only wanting to expand to 8, I think Circleville and Logan Elm make the most sense. They not only expand the geographical footprint of the conference, but create additional rivalries while not increasing travel too much. The longest trip in the league would still be Hillsboro-Jacks...

Re: 3 tier TVC
People, don’t you see he just wants to Make the TVC Great Again! :P  I’m sorry, couldn’t resist. I guess if it was life or death and the TVC had to go to 3 divisions, I’d say maybe a little something like this: (I’ll go ahead and say it now, never happening, no need to tell me; realistically, I...

It should be noted that Minford is at 160, barely in D5 on the verge of dropping to D6.

Re: Leagues That Your School Has Been A Member Of
https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ohio_East/Southeast_Regions_defunct_athletic_conferences If this is correct, there was a Tri State Athletic Conference. It had all the OKAC members plus Barboursville, Huntington, and Huntington East. This also has many other conferences listed that hopefully provides...

Re: SOC I and II
Will any of the SOC 1 schools keep Oak Hill on the schedule as a non-league game? I saw on Arbiter that we added Fairland in 2019. Who else will be on the non-league part of the schedule for the Oaks? I would like to see Wellston back on there. I think Northwest and Eastern will, maybe Symmes Valle...

Re: SOC I and II
So with 6 in SOC II and 7 in SOC I, I wonder if the SOC tries to add Manchester as a football-only member to make 8 Teams in SOC I, or maybe add South Gallia as a full member to not only make 8 teams in SOC I, but balance the divisions with 9 each in the other sports.

Re: Ironton St. Joe to SOC
Bus ride from ISJ to Western...yuck I definitely see why both sides wanted it though You know it’s an additional 20 minutes to Symmes Valley, which they already make annually. Additionally, if the SOC wanted to balance divisions and add South Gallia, Symmes Valley is still farther for Western than ...

Re: Warren TVC?
I know how the Hocking Division likes the 9 Team setup so how about add Warren at the least for 8 Teams and then float an invite to Gallia Academy as well for the TVC Ohio. Warren gets a league, and Gallia gets some closer opponents and opponents closer to their size in the D4-D5 range give or take....

Re: Logan is at a crossroad
I thought about this a bit as a potential new league. Canal Winchester (OCC) Franklin Heights (OCC) Hamilton Township (MSL) Logan (Independent) Teays Valley (MSL) Whitehall-Yearling (MSL) Enrollment is around 350-550, based around southern Columbus with the exception of Logan, D2-D3 in football, D1-...

Re: sit back and watch
Bama needs to beat Auburn and then Georgia in the SEC Championship. 1. Bama in - everybody else out Miami needs to beat Clemson in the Championship 2. Miami in - Clemson out Oklahoma needs to win Big 12 Championship over whoever they play 3. Oklahoma in - everybody else out That leaves the 4th spot...

Re: Is It Time for NCAA Division I 16 Team Playoff
Under this system, I’d either keep it at 4 Teams or expand to 6 Teams at most with 4-5 champions and the best or 2 best non-champs, but if college football decided to become more uniform in conferences and conference scheduling (12 Team conferences playing 8 conference games, minimum 2 non-conferenc...

Re: Playoff Expansion
I think the playoffs are fine as they are other than having them all on Friday, but if OHSAA had to expand, I have a unique way of expanding the playoffs (probably will never happen). First off, go back to 6 Divisions with 96 in D1 (up from 72), and the other 5 divisions will have ~124 each. For D1,...

Chillicothe would be another team Athens could look to add to the schedule, probably in a Week 3 matchup.

Re: 10-0 9-1 Missing playoffs.
Athens ought to drop Warren and try to add Point Pleasant, WV. It's an hour trip at most, provides a great game Week 1, and provides playoff points for both schools I believe. I'd recommend Jackson, but Wellston isn't leaving Jackson's Week 1 schedule anytime soon, Canal Winchester is too good of an...
