What are your ideas on realignment for college conferences?
As college football has pasted for the season and March Madness is still a month away, I want to open up discussion on which teams you would want in your conferences (whether it’s realistic or fictional), how you’d realign them, and how many teams you’d want in your conference (could be 8 teams, cou...

Re: New Super Conference SOVC
I can see the SOVC forming in a way if the SVC got Eastern, Waverly, and Western while Oak Hill and Gallia Academy were accepted to join the TVC (all of these are possible, but unlikely for now). SOVC I East Green Notre Dame South Gallia Symmes Valley (Clay, Ironton St. Joe, New Boston, South Webste...

Here is what the top 10 CFP Rankings looked like the last 4 years plus the current rankings this year going into conference championship weekend. 2014 Final CFP Rankings (Previous Week Rank): * = Conference Champion ** = Conference Co-Champions 1. Alabama* 12-1 (1) 2. Oregon* 12-1 (2) —- 3. Florida ...

Re: If we see another Playoff with 2 SEC teams.. Do we see a future expansion?
I'm a fan of a 6 team playoff because it opens up 2 more spots for teams that I think are deserving of making the playoff, but still presents drama and controversy. There's a push for teams to get the 1st and 2nd seeds because they get a bye, 3rd and 4th seeds are pushing to host the quarterfinal, a...

Re: TVC Expansion
There should be a clause put in there that whoever votes for this should have to ride the bus from SG to Frontier and from Frontier to SG for every Winter and Spring sport contest. The trip to and from Miller to Frontier wouldn't be a day at the beach either. Wouldn't it make more sense to see whic...

Ideas to Improve/Bring Back Tradition Lost in College Sports
So with football season approaching (that was the plan lol), I would like to open up discussion about college football/basketball as a whole. I feel like the realignment from the last few years (outside of money) has hurt the tradition of college sports to a degree. With many conferences spread out ...

I feel like this would be the best solution for TVC, but obviously not likely to happen. TVC Hocking Division: Belpre Eastern-Meigs Federal Hocking Fort Frye Miller Southern Trimble Wahama [WV] Waterford Ohio Division: Alexander Gallia Academy Meigs Nelsonville-York Oak Hill River Valley Vinton Coun...

Re: 2018-19 Basketball Divisions Announced
GoBucks1047: You make good points about the splitting of 4 divisions. Your proposal seems logical in that if the 4 division system were to stay in place, then the largest of the current D1 schools would basically be in a downsized D1, while the other 3 divisions would include more schools but there...

Re: 2018-19 Basketball Divisions Announced
I know somewhat off topic being a basketball thread, but if football went back to 6 Divisions with the top 10% in D1 and the rest split evenly, a way to make up how and still allow the potential for teams to make the playoffs who hadn’t before (the idea with 7 divisions) would be to expand the D2-D6...

Re: 2018-19 Basketball Divisions Announced
Here are the lowest D1 schools by enrollment if OHSAA shrunk D1 to the top schools by enrollment or created a 5th division for the top schools by enrollment. It should be worth noting that there was only 792 schools listed, there has been 799 schools the last few years. Not sure if because schools e...

Re: Marietta/Warren apply for TVC membership
For the Hocking Division, if non-conference schedule or travel is an issue, I can see Fort Frye added make 10 for football (no divisions) and then create divisions in the Hocking to ease travel a bit while maintaining a 16 game conference schedule. East: Belpre Fort Frye Miller Trimble Waterford Wes...

Re: When will Unioto join the FAC?
For Boys Sports including football, the SVC could expand reasonably to 12 schools and 14 would be reasonable. Add Circleville, Eastern-Pike, Logan Elm, and Waverly. I’d wait though to see what comes from the potential new league in Southeastern Columbus. If Teays Valley and maybe Hamilton Township j...

Re: MVL Expansion?
The OCC teams are not going anywhere. They just voted the other night for realignment and it was overwhelmingly approved. There is hope the ones that voted no could still be viable, but when the smoke clears they will most likely also stay put imo. The proposed new league may or may or happen, but ...

Re: "Hypothetical" new D1/D2 league south of Columbus
Maybe apart of this is just my strong optimism and not as much knowledge in the Columbus area, but what’s made Watkins Memorial, Licking Heights, and Whitehall-Yearling less desirable or less interested in this proposed league? I understand why Lancaster, Newark, and Reynoldsburg will likely be less...

Until the next meeting from the others..which could be Groveport, Teays Valley, Logan, Zanesville, Canal.. Could this bring in New Albany and others now that Lancaster and Newark are off the table. Don’t forget Whitehall-Yearling, Licking Heights, and Watkins Memorial. I think this brings certainly...
