Re: OVC Previews
I say Gallia will win the league, Ironton until they beat Wheelersburg is just blowing hot air but should come in second. with Portsmouth or Fairland in last You’re joking right? Neither Portsmouth or Fairland will finish last lol. South Point will likely go 1-9 or 0-10. Not to mention I think Port...

Re: OSU QB MATTHEW BALDWIN ENTERS NCAA TRANSFER PORTAL
There's a great article in the Herald-Dispatch this morning (Sunday) where he discusses the transfer portal. One of the points he makes is the student-athlete loses their scholarship once they enter the portal. He also stated they receive calls everyday, even this late from student-athletes that are...

Re: Marshall University Football 2019
You are correct Omega. The price for a ticket is affordable and concessions prices are at or below most schools of it's size. Marshall hurt themselves a few years ago when they changed season ticket holders seat around. Lost quite a few people due to this.

Marshall University Football 2019
Marshall University football will be playing a really good schedule with the opportunity to possibly get the G5 New Years Day game. They open with VMI at home, then head to Boise State (preseason #1 in Mountain West - Mountain Division), Ohio University (MAC preseason #1 pick in their division), the...

Re: Marshall University HS Shootout -- Friday (6/28)
From what I saw at Marshall the past couple of weeks. Fairland is the team to beat. Chesapeake will give everyone fits, you better be in shape to go four hard quarters. South Point and Ironton are average. Portsmouth has a long way to go. If anyone is scheduled to play Chapmanville or Huntington Hig...

Re: Conference Change Upgrade Opportunity For Marshall ?
I don't see Marshall being the choice for the AAF. I know at lot of Marshall faithful would like to see it happen. Some names being thrown around are BYU, Boise State, and Army. but I think the team that will get the nod will be Liberty.

Re: Marshall University Team Camp
In WV, Chapmanville is the team to beat. They can play with anybody. They were missing starters both days and still ran with everyone they played.

Re: Marshall University Team Camp
Chesapeake runs the floor and plays defense like you would expect a team in the middle of the regular season. As long as they can stay healthy they will be in the hunt for the OVC.

Re: C-USA's New TV Partner
The MAC makes more tv money than Conference USA after CUSA was gutted during the realignment years. I'm sure Marshall does regret leaving the MAC because this CUSA isn't the CUSA they signed up for back when they first joined. Different teams and lower money payouts. What most people don't realize ...

Re: C-USA's New TV Partner
marshall plays army n navy boss , is that what you're saying. or army n navy games on the nfl network. Those games are in a few years, this year they have VMI (home), Boise State (away), Ohio U (home), Cincinnati (home). I can't remember which year but they go to Notre Dame, plus VA Tech is coming ...

Re: C-USA's New TV Partner
They don't need to drop. They do fine, would love to see them back in the MAC though. They do a good job with non conference schedules. Conference games are good but no conference rival. I disagree about no conference rival. WKU has become a bitter rivalry. They aren't just rivals, they hate each o...

Re: C-USA's New TV Partner
Yeah that is cool. Marshall going to be on? No NFL Network games this year. With Marshall having their own production I think this came to late for Marshall to make the change. I look for them to get at least one or two games starting in 2021. Also, did you see the announcement about the Army home ...

Re: Your schools best team(s) ever!
They were above average. Chesapeake 1999 team went 11-1, with an undefeated regular season. They eventually lost to Amanda, who would win the state title. The 2000 team went 8-2 with both of their losses coming by a combined 3 points (Wayne state runner up, and Minford D4 playoffs). 2002 team went ...

Marshall University Team Camp
Thought I'd let everyone know early that Marshall is having their team camps this year on June 20 - 21 from 10a-5p and their shoot out on June 28 from 10a-5p. Lots of great players, playing in three different venues on campus. Hope to see you there.
