ZanesVegas,
That'd be great to see that series up and running again.

Mt. DeChantal H.S. (Wheeling) to close.

The Mount DeChantal Visitation Academy, or the Mount as it is called in OVAC territory, announced today it's closing its doors. The Lady Lions were a basketball powerhouse the for many years in the late 90's and early 00's and traveled the country to compete in tournaments. No one in the OVAC even ...

That'd be a nice league with Brooke, JM, Park, and Marietta, but I doubt that Steubenville would be warmly welcomed in football by the schools other than Park. Steubenville is all about football, baseball comes second, and everything else just goes with the flow. All of them have soccer which should...

If they can trade Wayne Gretzky they can fold the SEOAL. Marietta used to be in the OVAC a long, long time ago, but I'm sure they'd like to come back and be in it. With Ironton's reputation, I feel if they left they might as well close the books. Gallipolis should still be able to fill a schedule wi...

My prediction is Marietta. Makes no sense to travel that far for games. Same goes for Warren. Man, that league takes the cake for travel in Ohio.

The SEOAL has had a good run. 100 years I guess. Surely going independent would be great for the kids. Play different schools.

That is so shocking to see Frontier get it handed to 'em. Congrats Cats. Always rooted for Waterford when it came to hoops because they always seemed to get the short end of the publicity stick in local papers.

Hope Waterford does make it far in tournament.

A lot of them play. That school is loaded with better-than-average, no, make that great female athletes. I don't know what has happened to the boys programs. Another 0-21 season could mean some sort of record at BSJHS.

No way Frontier loses this game. The Lady Cougars are in first place in the Pioneer Valley Conference and the OVAC. Plus, they have some of the best free throw shooters in the area. Frontier has a team capable of a District final berth until it meets Hiland or one of those powerhouses from the IVC. ...

Bellaire St. John girls defeat boys in scrimmage

No wonder the Lady Irish are so good, but then again, the boys team from St. John is 0-12 and headed for another 0-21 barring a miracle. Irish girls are leading the OVAC, a good group of athletes from what I saw last week. When told they beat the boys in scrimmage it wasn't surprising. They apply pr...

Shadyside 94 Bellaire St. John 12

Tigers roll easily in this one.

Hard to believe St. John boys sports has dropped to the level it has in recent years. Football 0-10, basketball headed for another 0-21. Sad.

Newspaper reports said St. Johns was so intimidated by Shadyside they were intimidated during warmups.

No Rhiannon,
Will prolly start on 31st because I need a quick trip to Sam's Club to get the necessary party grub, etc.

The plan is to maybe spread the party out over several locations until we decide where to be when the clock strikes 12.

You want an invite?

River adds 2 new opponents for '08

Saw on school's website where Toronto and Zanesville Rosecrans are added to the '08 schedule. Gilbert WV, which went 9-1 and lost to River 42-6, paid its way out of a rematch in '08, and Bellaire St. John also dropped the Pilots. Toronto and ZR are both in D6 Reg. 23 but with Gilbert 9-1 and St. Joh...

Alien v. Predator....sequel (you seein' it?)

Can't wait to see this one. Came out Christmas Day. Ain't that sweet, lol.

Anyway, the first one was good.

I guess a good battle between aliens on planet Earth can speed up Global Warming.
