Re: Big Rival (5-4) Portsmouth @ (8-1) Ironton
I don’t understand Portsmouth at all the last 6 minutes. Runs and punting while down 2 scores.

Re: Big Rival (5-4) Portsmouth @ (8-1) Ironton
Why did Portsmouth just punt down 2 scores with 4 minutes left? Deep in their own territory sure but you’re giving up on attempting to win the game.

Portsmouth still fighting. Ironton roughing the kicker keeps Portsmouth drive alive and leads to a score, Tigers proceed to fumble on their first play after kick off.

Re: Big Rival (5-4) Portsmouth @ (8-1) Ironton
Getting a little chippy out there. Portsmouth is running the ball decently, just lose steam when they get past the 50. Tigers offense starting to settle in now. Thacker has thrown a couple dangerous passes that should’ve been picked. Hope to see that stop second half.

Tigers looking half asleep right now. Fired Up Fridays or whatever, still shouldn’t be playing like this. Hope they can wake up a bit.

Re: (7-1) Gallia Academy - (7-1) Ironton
Anyone claiming Gallia was gonna be a pushover or anything was likely trolling. One of the tougher opponents we play and nearly caught us sleeping last time. Typically a hard team to put away. From what I could tell over the radio the refs were subpar to say the least but play calling by Ironton was...

Re: Ironton v/s cabell midland
Midland RB as advertised, really impressed with their QB running, somehow picks up 5 yards after initial contact most times. Very elusive.

Re: Ironton v/s cabell midland
Ironton pass rush was stellar again, but very little offense and barely any TOP really left their D hanging to dry. Offensive line is a PROBLEM. Was okay enough to get through the other teams but really getting exposed today. Thacker ran for his life and could not hold onto the ball either. Terry di...

Re: WK3 2-0 Fairland v 2-0 Ironton (OVC CHIP)?
Wow , didn’t expect that. Maybe Jackson’s effort wasn’t bad as most thought. Watched some of the scoring plays on YouTube after the game and you could see the Fairland players half heartedly try to chase Terry once he got past them, could’ve stopped one or two of them but they looked defeated after...

Re: WK3 2-0 Fairland v 2-0 Ironton (OVC CHIP)?
Terry is Wow ….Special!! Patterson is also a defensive line stud!!! Thacker is faster than I expected. The JV Tigers didn’t miss a beat and continued the blood bath when they came in. Fairland won’t miss games like this after Ironton leaves the OVC. If I heard correctly, they are keeping Portsmouth...

Re: JACKSON AT IRONTON
My takes from the game, Ironton’s line got bullied around a lot in the running game this game. Jackson always has some big kids and it was noticeable, they were threatening to start driving at will in the 3rd quarter. O line held up a little better at least. A young DB unit gave up a couple of wide ...

Re: Wheelersburg @ Ironton Week 1
Another classic from Ironton and Burg. Defenses really settled in for the second half. I’m not going to judge the passing game much yet as even with Tayden last year we did not pass the ball well at all against Burg. Burg is very disciplined in pass defense. It was nice to see Ironton get some good ...

Re: 2023 Ironton Tigers
Haven’t been on the forums since the season ended but came back to check out any news. Also to answer a rather old question. Amari Felder hurt his ankle against Jackson and was on a bum ankle the rest of the season, even resting 2 or 3 games if I remember correctly. It was a bad nagging one. They ty...

Re: Ironton vs South Range - D5 State Championship
I knew South Range’s offense was stellar, but I’m just really disappointed to see Ironton just get absolutely man handled on defense. And they took themselves out of the game early and never got close again.
With that said it was a really fun season to watch. I’m gonna miss these kids for sure.

Sadly the Ironton band was still late. But they sounded good when they finally got there. Their band director is late to everything. Drives me up a wall. Didn’t used to be like that with Sanders. New director has been a major disappointment. May have not marched much but you can bet Sanders would u...

Re: #2 Canal Winchester Harvest Prep -V- # 1IronTon
Sadly the Ironton band was still late. But they sounded good when they finally got there. The band was late due to the host school not saving a place for the busses to park. 😳 I would like to know if they saved a parking spot for west, and also why could the band not be dropped off at the entrance,...

Why you leave out the travel time to Portsmouth from Ironton? Bunch of crybaby thinking you deserve a home game 😂 Nice lil 30 min trip 😂 Sadly the Ironton band was still late.
