Re: Harvest Prep v North Adams

I don’t think anyone is saying Harvest Prep isn’t a good program. I would imagine going to school there is a positive for the kids that go there. But let’s not act it’s a level playing field. Plenty of transfers happen down this way. But our schools are drawing from an area with what, 100,000 peopl...

Re: D3 Regional Semi-Final, Northwest vs. Malvern

I have nfhs broafcast and it is way behind. There isn't a clock on the screen and the score is often wrong. I would bet the announcers are doing the game remote. The camera only pans side to side an I have not saw a close up or a replay. The radio is wnxt.com then chose the 95.7 fox link tab. The S...

My early pics 1 Ironton lose 1 senior who played 2 Chesapeake have Kazee back 3 Fairland great coaching 4 SP lose everyone but decent ...

Exactly. Terry is a footballer. He will be in South Bend in my opinion. He's a competitor and wants to play there

Re: Collins out @ Rock Hill

Since we talked one state coach into coming out of retirement, maybe talk Mark LaFon into coming out of retirement? Just kidding, of course. I doubt he would come. But this is one where it would be nice to get a young coach to take over. Maybe Bryan Jenkins? WHY would you want LaFon. He's a screame...

Thanks for posting this information. Can anyone provide a post for District 13? I know some of the first teamers and POY and Coach but a full listing would be good. Re: 2/24 #11 (16-7 )Ironton vs #6 (18-5) Chesapeake

Ironton has no identity. I believe at the beginning of the year Ironton beat Minford and South Webster in a scrimmage and then started the season by beating fairland and Chesapeake, since the hot start this team has been on a roller coaster, Shrek and Terry don’t seem to play well together, they ar...

Re: Scoring 1000 points-Is it that hard to achieve anymore?

If you scored 1000 points before the 3 point line you were a player. Now days a lot of coaches leave their kids in during blow outs to add to their total. Other teams take out their starters but then the 1000 point kid for the other team is still in the game. A lot of different opinions on this. I ...

I couldn't agree more. A lot has to do with how many shots were taken in a certain style of play, Has a lot to do with FG and FT % of a plyer

Re: Scoring 1000 points-Is it that big of deal anymore?

If you start as a Sophomore and you play 25 games, 22 regular season and a minimum of 3 tournament games, you only have to average 13.4 points a game for those three years worth of games. If you are a decent player I just don't think that is hard to achieve. With the 3 point shot just doesn't seem ...

Re: Saturday Scores 2/3/24

Ironton would be dominant if they’d play together. Still beating Burg end of three but wow. How many points have they left on the board trying to dunk a put back basket instead of rebounding or laying it up? Schreck is awesome No team play. No defense and to many bad shots trying to do it all by on...

Re: 1/9/24 Portsmouth @ Ironton

I feel that a lot of the problem is coaching including the entire staff. From what Ive seen there needs to be role players on that team. I dont see that with Ironton. Without a doubt you have to score BUT, games are WON by playing DEFENSE and REBOUNDING on both ends of the floor. You need and offens...

Re: Irontons Carrico and Perkins both enter transfer portal day one

Unless youve played in college at any level you have no idea what is involved and what is expected expected of you as a player. Ones that have never played think they have all the answers. Its a lot of dedication and hard work to play at any level and unless you have keep your trap shut. Just saying.
